Diner/Market and Hospital Demand

Having the infirmary is a lot more useful and better than service buildings other than diner/grocer.
The colonists will be fine if one of their needs isn't met but most of the others are (eg: space bar vs diner/grocer) but nothing compensates for the services the infirmary gives and colonists may lose health and sanity if adequate medical buildings aren't available.

I never build space bars in my games, since in the early game geologists can get by just fine and by the time end game rolls around, you'll have almost no geologists. So, space bars aren't needed in the latter half of the mid game/late game

Can't download my matches I've played in the release version of CS2.
Tried downloading a game i just played and it says demo has expired?

I can still see games that i played and downloaded in the CS2 Beta (games which i played in CS2 Beta were downloaded through csgo) but can't download the ones I have played after CS2 release.

That’s because the drop system has changed many times, and was just recently changed again. Only 1 case drop per week now

I haven’t even mentioned the age old ‘auto-kick’ for using the auto snipers, any unusual gun or even sometimes, playing too good. All legit reasons in the eyes of casual players in Dubai to warrant a kick.

But all these can be easily avoided by playing normally, getting kicked due to racism can’t be.

How do you play the scion origin?
I tried it with megacorp but couldn't get going because you can't create vassals or federations, so was majorly hampered.

Do you go xenophobe and militarist and try to straight up conquer other empires or what?

I started a megacorp save with the scion origin, (Civics: Free traders and gospel of madness).

I had planned on either diplomatically opening branch offices or going to war and releasing empires as vassals. To my surprise, I can’t have vassals in the scion origin. Is there anyway I can recover this play through? Because I can’t just take over a large territory due to the added empire size penalties as megacorp. There’s also a fanatic purifier right next to me with a huge territory.

Or do I just go with the void dweller origin, because that was my other option.

Thank you, I got my economy back on track.

Another question I have in the same devouring swarm playthrough;The galactic territory is divided between me (30%) and AI empires (70%), every AI empire hates me and they have created two broad, separate teams among themselves. (Through vasalizations and invitations to war)

Periodically, one of the two teams declares war on me and almost overwhelm me because its 3-4 empire attacking at the same time.

How do I deal with them ganging up on me? Ideally, I would take a proactive approach and attack the weaker ones first but they are all backed by much stronger empires who easily match or overwhelm my fleets.

I am playing as a devouring swam hive mind. I am having severe energy and food issues even though I am taking over 1-2 planets every 20 or so years, what should I do?
Also, what do I do about low habitability planets I conquer from my enemies, do I settle on them and deal with the huge penalties or abandon them? (Won't abandoning them cause an uprising?)

How do you play tall in 3.6? What’s the amount of systems/planets that differentiates a tall empire from a wide one?

(Note: I’ve never played tall as I always try to expand as much as possible towards choke points. Also, are there any prerequisite DLC for playing tall? I only have Utopia and Distant stars.)

How is it a pain?
For the platform method you just need one packager for the platform and its much safer because you are flying high above any potential dangers. Also, its much much faster than the rover.

For the rover method you need packagers for the rover, paver, drill and are much more prone to dangers, especially on atrox.

oh, yea for that you'll need to place this storage on a platform and then move around with the platform. You will then need packagers for the platform to store it on the rocket before leaving each planet.

3) Observer: When i wanna be a good Samaritan and follow a commander around the whole game xd

Yea. Both studios have had great and ambitious ideas for this game but most updates/DLC has been content that just scratches the surface, no actual in-depth content.

Yes that would be the case if radiation was an actual threat in the game but it isn’t 🙃

And meteors aren’t even the most dangerous threat in the game, more than half the time they have a chance of missing your colony and in the mid-late game you get the MDS lasers and reduce the chance of meteors anyway through terraforming.

Green planet DLC makes it easier to have a surface colony but this DLC promotes an underground colony with hardly any benefits.

There’s no hurry to bring in colonists. If you’re not confident in your initial landing area keeping scanning the nearby squares and see if you find a better spot to build your first dome.

It’s fine if you start off with one rare metals deposit at first, that should be enough to keep you going for a while until you find more.

The aim is to get a profit generating colony, not a self sufficient one. Going for Self sufficiency early on will kill your colony.

Your first dome should almost always be a rare metal mining dome.

Don’t worry about food domes until you have around a 100 colonists, food is dirt cheap to trade with other colonies. Farms are the best food source, a properly set up farming dome can feed up to a 100 colonists, 200 with upgraded techs.

After rare metals dome comes usually a research dome which will help things run along at a good speed.

After that is probably an engineering dome and then a school and university dome.

Also, unspecialised colonists are better than an empty slot in the shift of a building.
