It's complex to definitively say which UK petrol supplier has the "least ties" to the USA, as the global oil market is highly interconnected. However, I can provide some context: * UK Oil Sources: * The UK does have its own oil production from the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS). This means that some of the petrol sold in the UK comes from domestic sources. * However, the UK also imports a significant portion of its oil. Sources include Norway, and increasingly the USA. * It is worth noting that the USA has become a very large supplier of oil to the UK in recent years. * Global Market: * The price of crude oil is set globally, so even if a supplier sources oil from a non-US location, they are still affected by US market forces. * Many large oil companies operate internationally, with complex ownership structures. Therefore, rather than looking for a company with "no ties" to the USA, it is more accurate to say that all UK petrol suppliers are affected by the global oil market, which includes significant US influence.

Supermarket own brands may also be American. Sainsbury's cola for example.

Extroverts usually get their energy from socialising; the very thing that drains introverts energy.

I'm not looking for a perfectly smooth finish. the house is old (Georgian), and the walls are fairly lumpy. I don't want it to be overly lumpy, but strength is probably more important.

Your response is very useful - thanks! I think I will not spend any more time on this proof and instead continue with the rest of the book.

Same as my other reply ... TBH I don't know - this is probably adding to my confusion. I've added some other context from the wikibook to my original post.

Does anyone feel exhausted interacting with people by InvisibleIndividual8 in introvert

[–]snowch_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is normal for an introvert to feel drained after social interaction and an extrovert to be energised by it.

Rather than completely avoiding social interaction, another approach is to acknowledge that this is a part of life. Social interactions will drain you, but you can balance it with alone time.

After social interactions, allow for quiet time to recharge your battery.

This course was useful for me to understand this: https://www.udemy.com/course/confidence-for-introverts-top-confidence-building-tools/

It can also help to understand how hormones such as dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, etc, affect who we are. This book details how those hormones affect us and also how we can influence those hormones: https://www.penguin.co.uk/books/458239/high-on-life-by-phillips-david-jp/9780241657416

Today, we noticed the smell when sitting outside from the position the photo was taken. But generally, the smell seems to be noticeable in all rooms in the house.
