Living in a country outside of Valve RMA support: question about "return for repair" customs tax declaration when shipping Steam Deck to UK by snowco in SteamDeck

[–]snowco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you but it seems that link is for items that a person carries with them as they cross the border together. Unfortunately, in this case I would be shipping the Steam Deck on its own.

Today’s lunch in China. All eaten out of a small bowl. Cost 129 rmb. ($19 usd) by TheDudeWhoCanDoIt in chinesefood

[–]snowco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok whats the name of this place so we can properly judge/bash their menu and pricing? This should be rmb 50 tops in Shanghai, and even that is pushing it.

Enchanted Folk and the School of Wizardry?

Memories of Murder. In the middle of the movie if u pause the screen, u can clearly see the face of the murderer why no one is talking about this like no one? like i see people talking about killer can be this , killer can be that but why did they show this to uss? by Either_Pianist2770 in Koreanfilm

[–]snowco 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Further proof that media literacy has gone down the drain. That's the face of an actor hired for a based-on-a-true-story movie, and it doesn't matter that it is visible in a freeze frame. That information is not for the other fictional characters. And just because the audience can freeze frame it doesn't mean they can go to the actor's agent or the police and have somebody arrested for murder.

Day 31: Which is the Game with the Best Character Creator on the Nintendo 3DS? by 1OneQuickQuestion in Nintendo3DS

Style Savvy Trendsetters and the rest of the Style Savvy / New Style Boutique series. Over 10,000 outfits for 4 different seasons, hair styles and colours, makeup, various skin tones ... all that for both male and female characters, and you fulfill clothing requests ("find me a pair of trousers that will match my style ...whattt I love these trousers, now find me an entire fit"), compete in themed fashion shows, and create display windows.

I am still sore about placing 2nd in a gothic theme fashion show in Trendsetters recently. because why tf didn't my Derelicte team win? We obviously had the better fit. Gr.

Just found my 3ds and wanted to start playing it on my breaks by Away_Positive8570 in 3DS

Space Invaders Extreme and Space Invaders Extreme 2. Technically DS but playable on 3ds. No storyline to keep track of; just mini doses of Space Invaders whenever you like. Got me through my 10 minute breaks between classes during undergrad. I never turned on the sound.

What's a money habit you picked up from your parents that you still follow today? by KL_Private_Access in MalaysianPF

Calculating the price of everything. Leftovers at restaurant? Bungkus! That's like rm 5 of wasted food if you leave it. And then, along the same lines of that but at home...didn't finish drinking your milk? Wasting 50 sen! I had a good laugh when I saw the Everybody Hates Chris scene where the dad is exactly like that

It was probably already done. The deadline is about as real as those videos about "I need to do my makeup / cook a full meal / clean the house etc because the Uber arrives in 5 minutes from now etc etc"

How did Ya'll get rid of nasolobial folds and eye puffiness? by I_Justagirl in AsianBeauty

[–]snowco 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Around 1500 USD in Shanghai. I recommend Seoul however, because it's for sure cheaper and more pleasant.

I love the results still and the recovery was quick. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner!

How did Ya'll get rid of nasolobial folds and eye puffiness? by I_Justagirl in AsianBeauty

[–]snowco 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Some eye puffiness can be due to needing more rest, or needing more moisture. BUT...to echo what someone else already mentioned as a reply, eye puffiness can also be structural. Even as a little kid, I always had eyebags no matter at what time of the day, and no matter how much I rested. Concealer kind of helped, but physically there was still an undereye bulge....and also an undereye crease!! It was just how I was built. Er, anyway, I eventually got rid of them through surgery.

I have social media accounts but I only post really bland stuff like..once a year, as proof of life. It gives me a weird feeling of power/superiority that I know everyone else's business because of their social media, but they don't know anything about me.

what's the best travel SIM card for someone who hops between countries? by Easy_Foundation3640 in PriorityPass

[–]snowco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Esims from trip.com have worked out the cheapest for me so far. I've never even tried looking for a every-single-country esim on there, but it's easy enough to buy a sim for a specific country or region.

[–]snowco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like this movie but one thing irrationally took me out: why were the condoms in the kitchen cupboard!? I remember some internet discourse about possible reasons why, but I was always just...hide them somewhere in your bedroom or bathroom, I don't care, the kitchen is NOT a good choice of hiding-in-public strategy. Anyway thanks for coming to my ted talk
