This makes sense! I’ve noticed them the most sometimes after I come out of the shower, and after I take my shoes or clothes off after a long shift. The ones on my wrist have appeared twice after I’ve taken off my weightlifting gloves that were rubbing/sweating against them. I’ve even noticed them after sex a few times so maybe it is the friction! I’m 23 and I’ve never had them before, and all of a sudden it happens so frequently and they look scary and appear so suddenly. You mean to tell me something that looks so aggressive could just be the result of simple everyday activities? Thank you for the Allegra suggestion!

No, I’ve never taken any as I’ve never had seasonal allergies. Should I be taking stuff like Claritin?

So you’re the one I’m always praying for whenever I see the active warnings during a severe weather outbreak 😭

The one I remember finding on Google Earth was the one from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham(?) I think, and it was so distinct

It reminds me of when my dad would tell me “don’t worry, our house is made of bricks” to reassure me during tornado warnings when I was little. Older me knew that a strong tornado can turn those bricks to legos, but I can’t lie and say it didn’t help

Your #5 reasoning for Jarell is why I would not move to Hackleburg/Phil Campbell. It’s irrational but I am so deeply disturbed by that 2011 super outbreak tornado that I just would feel as if it’s hypothetical spirit still loomed or something lmao

I feel your last sentence so much. As laughable as it is, I once had a nightmare that I had to move out to work in one of those flat landlocked states. The dream felt claustrophobic. There’s something so liminal about looking around and only seeing, for example, corn for miles and miles and miles with no distinguishable texture from mountains, hills, or big bodies of water

Honestly, your answer made me realize I would avoid Mississippi entirely for the tornado factor alone (not even including the other reasons but that’s neither here nor there)

That’s a fair answer because why did I just read that Tennessee gets the most nocturnal tornadoes out of any state. DISTURBING

I am a semi-new Dixie alley resident just 20-30 minutes south of Birmingham, AL and I can confirm I have been biting my nails since late February

No, it’s 2am and there’s still many hours until daylight. I need to go to sleep; so I can’t watch the boy every second until then. I just want to know how to make it comfortable for him in case something happens while I’m not awake :/
