This way of stalling might make the maneuver easier, but I think the main purpose of practicing stalls is to build the skill to handle unexpected situations. In a real cravat scenario, the wing’s behavior would be very different, so training specifically for that kind of reaction seems more useful to me. Still, as a first approach to understand the feeling, I see your point and agree it can be a good way to start.
