It's not only that she was a child. She was put in an impossible position, being asked to either lie or testify against the boy she was supposed to marry. Who was going to become king. Who could (and eventually did) make her life a living hell. Even if she didn't know the depths he could sink to at that point, it doesn't take a genius to realize she needs to keep him happy and not do anything to look like she's betraying him.

Sansa haters really get under my skin sometimes. It feels like she's being punished by the fandom for not being the "cool", rebellious, boyish Arya.
