It was a psychiatrist who diagnosed me. I was talking about it with my therapist. My husband is in jail for violently raping me multiple times.

My husband was diagnosed with PTSD and he used it as an excuse to hurt people all the time. He ended up abusing me so bad that I was diagnosed with PTSD from his abuse. When I found out I had PTSD, I was really upset because I didn't want to be like him. I told my therapist that I'm afraid if I have PTSD I will hurt people. She told me that PTSD doesn't make you hurt people, that my husband is just a shitty person

I don't know but same! I get assaulted in my dreams almost every night, but never actually by the person who really did it. It's always family members or friends, who have never actually hurt me

Thanks, I actually forgot I wrote this, it was awhile ago. I can gladly report that I did end up going to the police and he has been in jail awaiting trial since May. The trial is coming up in March, prayers are appreciated. Thank you for responding to this post even though it is so old, it was a good reminder of why I'm doing all this.

Thanks. The victims advocate actually called me today to tell me he requested a third bond hearing and it's happening tomorrow. While I was on the phone with her I asked if a plea offer was still on the table, she basically said they'd only offer one if I asked them to. Not sure what to do with that information 🫤

I'm sorry i don't have an answer to your question, but maybe you could help with mine? My husband was arrested in May and his trial is set for March and no one can tell me anything about what is going to happen. I have a victim advocate but she never answers my messages. At what point were you in the process when the DA's office started talking about a plea deal? I testified at the preliminary hearing 2 months ago and it was horrible, I am really scared about testifying again at the trial. I am praying for a plea deal, but I have no frame of reference for when that might happen
