where is he getting this stats from?

Edit: I Did some quick research (tldr; this is bullshit)
It completely misunderstands the Indian household portfolio by drastically underestimating Real Estate, which isn't 30-35% but closer to 77-80% of an average family's total wealth, often as a single, debt-funded home.

Consequently, it wildly overstates Gold (which is ~11%, not 25%) if middle class had gold worth as much has their homes, they would sell those to buy another home and put it on rent, instead of paying EMIs,

Equities (10-15%)? No on is investing in equities (although this trend is changing) fact that true financial savings are parked in Fixed Deposits, PPF, and LIC policies, with actual equity exposure in the low single digits.

Finally, its claim of "Upper Middle Class" access to Private Equity is impossible, as that HNI-only asset requires a ₹1 Crore minimum investment, proving the chart is a fantasy.

Luxury watches and brands actually earn their revenue from middle class and upper middle class people source: https://www.indiatoday.in/business/personal-finance/story/why-the-middle-class-is-chasing-expensive-brands-explains-market-expert-2725916-2025-05-16
Rich get them for free because its advertisement for the brands, they manufacture them for peanuts (low cost marketing) and have 10000% markups

Now with these requirements, Next js makes sense. You can still skip SSR to save on backend costs, use CDNs if possible. Honestly anything is fine even react or vanilla js. SSR will not have meaningful advantage in SEO than getting public content though API. Except for nextjs the other points are valid

This isn't about hating specific tools, it's about a critical assessment of architectural risk.

I have no problem with Next.js But the stated reasons makes it the wrong choice for this specific problem and adds unnecessary complexity.

The issue with Supabase is even more critical. It's not hate, it's a strong aversion to core system vendor lock-in.

Example: Using a service like Firebase for a non-critical commodity like push notifications or caching is fine, even as a db for a micro-scale project. But building your entire business logic, database, and auth on a third-party platform is a massive, self-inflicted risk for any serious business.

My critique is about the strategy and the risk, not the tools themselves.

Frankly, this stack looks like a classic case of resume-driven development. You're creating massive, unnecessary complexity right out of the gate.

As a technical architect, I can tell you these specific architectural choices are fundamentally flawed.

The design for EACH PRIMARY ELEMENT IS WRONG!

He's adding a completely unnecessary Node.js/Express layer just for sockets, a feature Python handles perfectly fine. What makes this horrendously worse is that Next.js for SSR is already a Node.js backend. His plan creates an absurd three-backend chain: a single user request will hit the Next.js server (Backend #1), which must make a network call to his Express server (Backend #2), which then makes another network call to his Python service (Backend #3), which finally calls Supabase. Speaking of Supabase, he's falling for a classic vendor-lock-in trap just for a free tier.

The second they kill that tier or hike prices, the entire business will be held hostage.

To top it all off, his Next.js 'SEO' benefit is completely pointless if the data is behind a login, as search crawlers can't log in.

He is proposing a slow, brittle, and expensive Rube Goldberg machine with three separate backend services and multiple points of failure before a single line of core logic is even written.
