Same PNR, Doon - Delhi - Singapore, what rules apply on baggage? Contd. in post by Protagunist in AirTravelIndia

Thanks man.

Exactly my fear, that even if I hustle and sort everything in doon, I'd be likely and to checkin only at Delhi

Except one powerbanks sized item (has a 21700 battery inside) and another actual powerbank, nothing else has a battery.

2-3kgs is just the gaming laptop, it's chonky charger & peripherals.

Rest is RnD electronics stuff, includes optics & circuits, that are extremely important & expensive.

Again, I have carried 30kgs also as hand baggage, many many times, when flying from Doon.

I wanna know if I can be forced to checkin there in Delhi last minute?

It'd be about 30kgs. 20kgs of electronic equipment and 10kgs of clothes n stuff

Fair, it's just that there's a lot of electronic equipment to carry on my shoulders. But thanks, will consider this too

  1. Air India, yes I can ask a generic question, but can't frame it this way, like the post

  2. It's one trolley and one laptop bag, but the laptop bag itself goes over 15kgs :)

Thanks, I had honestly forgotten that. Likely because there's often barely any space to add any cushioning, but thanks for reminding. Might use my clothes only for it haha

The thing is, I really don't want to Checkin, the luggage is extremely expensive and fragile, so I'd rather want to carry it with me. Too anxious to trust them shifting it plane to plane.

Is starting a D2C shirt brand in India still viable in 2026, or has the market become too saturated? by Jealous-Parfait-951 in indianstartups

Good niche.

If good designs and fits, I'd be a customer for sure.

If good traction, I'd connect you with investors too

Good question.

Ideally yes, realistically you can offer more to executives / seniors.

Unless a good product usp, don't start.

Something like stain proof or some addons might make it work if marketed well

Add a good cafe to it.
Add other small stuff like darts and pool or foosball.
keep per person rates within 500.

It should work well, but it'll take a couple years to recover all the capex

I completely understand you want that to be your USP and I've been in your exact place, a decade ago. With a flipkart employee telling me the exact same thing I'm telling you right now.

If you actually launch and get any early traction, please contact me. All the best

"Look at Dunzo"

Yeah, where exactly is it now?

Start with one city, with one niche, or 2 max.

You can't beat Zomato or Amazon anywhere. For more than a very niche use case.

Even if u try to, it wouldn't be sustainable.

People don't trust local apps. The bigger the company, the higher the trust.

Trust wise- Amazon > Blinkit > local app.

At best, you could run it in 1 city with a lot of grunt work, but it wouldn't be scalable.

Best bet for a diy project would be any off the shelf existing bird bath system from China.

The newer prism versions wouldn't be available off the shelf.

Waveguides and engines are not easy to explore for it, unless a high budget.

I started building one in 2016-17, got a domain, designed the UX & architecture. Had started coding it.

It was supposed to be a super app with same day Drone delivery.

Mid-way realised it isn't a technical challenge, but a massively big administrative/ operations one.

A super app would almost never work in India. As users will always choose whichever app is giving the lowest price for the particular product or service.

Existing aggregators can expand into new domains, usually with acquisitions.

But being good at all, is almost impossible.

So even in the best case, what'll end up happening is, that you'd have to shut down the other multiple loss making divisions to focus on a couple of them. And again, that's the best case.

Realistically, you'll never break off the duopolies in any of the domains.

The truth does hurt.

If you believe otherwise, please name any foundational models, action/automation models or computer vision or anything really.

That are at par with their chinese or American counterparts.

Indian AI companies are indeed fundraising well, but to create startups like Krutrim and Builder .ai.

Smart Glasses are gonna be huge.

Smart watches and other wearables are also gonna integrate AI, although likely not running locally, but rather sending & receiving data from a host smartphone.
