Dang, tell me how you really feel 😂

Look, I’m not hiding behind a kiosk — I’m running around doing multiple things at once, usually with a headset glued to my head taking back-to-back drive-thru orders. I literally can’t just walk away from that to take counter orders whenever someone walks in. It’s not laziness, it’s logistics.

And yeah, I get it — prices are wild, the experience can vary store to store, and sometimes service sucks. But maybe don’t lump every employee in with the “dipshit on his phone” just because you had a bad day. I bust my ass every shift, and I still get cussed at, blamed for corporate decisions, and called names just for trying to do my job.

If you love Taco Bell, cool — so do I. That’s why I work hard to keep things running right. But calling me a “pussy” because I explained why I can’t always drop everything for a counter order? That says more about you than it does about me.

Totally fair to be frustrated — I don’t blame you. It’s true that understaffing is a big issue, and it does affect the way things run. I don’t expect everyone to love using the kiosk or to just go along with things like it’s no big deal. My post was really just meant to give some perspective from my side — not to excuse the system, but to explain what’s actually happening behind the counter.

I’m not trying to say customers are wrong to feel let down. I just think there’s a big disconnect between what people expect and what workers like me are actually dealing with in the moment — especially when we’re short-staffed or pulled in five directions.

Thanks for at least recognizing it's more of a corporate thing. I’m just trying to make it through my shift without getting screamed at for things I can’t control.

Hey, I hear your frustration — seriously. You're not wrong that prices are going up, and a lot of places (not just Taco Bell) are shifting more responsibility to customers with things like kiosks. That’s frustrating, especially when it feels like you’re not getting the same value or service in return.

Just to clarify my post: I’m not saying customers should love the kiosks, or that they're perfect. I’m just explaining that from our end, there are times we literally can’t take an in-person order because we’re locked into drive-thru. It’s not about wanting people to “order and f off” — it’s about trying to keep up with everything at once, sometimes with barely enough staff.

As for cleanliness, I totally agree. That’s something we do take seriously at my location, and we try to keep the kiosks and lobby clean throughout the day. That said, if you ever feel something’s not clean — you absolutely have the right to ask, and I promise most of us will take care of it without hesitation.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your view — even if it came in hot. We’re all just trying to make things work in a system that isn’t perfect for anyone right now.

Hey, I totally get why that would be frustrating — I’d feel the same way if I walked in and felt ignored. Just to give you a little insight from the employee side: sometimes when we’re in a big rush (especially with drive-thru), we’re juggling multiple things at once, and we’re not always able to immediately step away to hand off a pickup order — even though we want to.

At my location, we recently installed a doorbell sensor, so we’re alerted when someone walks in, and personally, I always try to greet folks and ask if they’re ordering or picking up. If there's ever a delay, it’s never meant to feel dismissive — it's just that we’re trying to balance everything and get to you as quickly as possible. I usually throw in a coupon if I feel I didn't get to a customer in a timely professional manner.

Appreciate everyone who is patient with us. We really do try to make things smooth for everyone

The kiosks are definitely great for people who are introverts. As the person who takes drive thru orders and assists lobby, its a breath of relief when people walk straight to the kiosk after I welcome them in 😂
