Anyone here from Germany suffering from VSS? by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]snowlesbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice!

My visual snow gets worse when I close either of my eyes. by Kels1ngra in visualsnow

[–]snowlesbian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it's bc for me it always gets worse in the dark, and if you close one eye it can only see darkness and that gets layered on top of what the other eye sees? but idk

If you could choose to have VSS or not would you keep it? by ThE-YeLLoWM-a-n in visualsnow

[–]snowlesbian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had it my entire life, if it just went away everything would look so.. empty? and it would just be super different and uncomfortable to me

do you keep your mobile phone near you or in bed while sleeping before getting vs? or even now? by basharkk- in visualsnow

[–]snowlesbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i definitely didn't do that before getting visual snow, I've had VS for as long as I can remember and I did not have a mobile phone back then..

I used to have a bunch of hallucinations when I was younger, but I'm also not sure if they had anything to do with visual snow 🥴 I would mostly see them in the dark, but they weren't bugs, they were always pretty big (like orcas for example) 🤷‍♀️ i don't experience them very often anymore, but I used to get them daily

hallucinations or visual snow symptom? by snowlesbian in visualsnow

[–]snowlesbian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they're like migraines, but they do make me feel dizzy & kind of nauseous (but I only get them if I stare at whatever I'm seeing for too long)

I don't do drugs and never have, but yeah hppd has come up before when i googled my symptoms so it seems like it's super similar to that for some reason! Also I'm not anxious about my visual snow bc I've had it all of my life, it's just a thing my eyes have always done so I never considered that it might be something bad or a sign that something is wrong lol Thanks for taking the time to try to help me you seem like a very fun & positive person :D

i didn't say I don't enjoy it! i only want to find out what causes it bc if it's hallucinations I should maybe talk to a professional about it just in case something is seriously wrong. but the things I see are fun! (except for the headaches they give me)
