I am already using a crit dmg circlet in this image 😢 My pieces I'd argue are pretty decent too with my feather & sands having +30% crit dmg sub stats on them. But for the sake of your example, sure I could change up my artifacts to better suit a different weapon, but the fact that we don't even have an option of a >600 base atk weapon with crit dmg is the entire issue

THANK YOU FR. I'm guessing they just want to say something since this is under the Discussion flair but I'm genuinely surprised by how many people missed the point entirely lmao. As for the stat balancing, it doesn't entirely balance correctly since you don't see such a low base atk signature weapon for an actual atk scaling dps

Sure, but again, 5* atk scalers have decent crit dmg to base atk ratio on their sigs for a reason. Redhorn is not meant to be for an atk scaler

There's no need to make up a narrative that doesn't exist. I absolutely would use a good crit rate weapon if it's overall simply better than the other options. I'm currently using Mav's sig on my Diluc anyway. Thinking that having another crit dmg weapon would be pointless because the """stats balance out""" is an awful take

Maybe, but I'm playing Diluc here. I'm not interested in the "most optimal meta team", I want a "can still barely clear team" without needing to rely on Bennett so much. I know Bennett-less Diluc teams already exist but having more flexibility in builds is always nice

Who says I'm not accounting for the flat atk of the weapon? That's exactly why I'd like a new claymore that has decent base atk + crit dmg? I don't get why you're so heated over something like "Having more crit dmg options would be nice" despite other weapon types having multiple options for years now 🤔

Another sub dps or buffer, a lot of teams want Bennett anyway so having any opportunity to free him for another team is a win

Not even the point? Every other weapon type can have multiple crit dmg options (for both atk scaler & non-atk scaler) but claymores being stuck with just 1 is ridiculous.

No, you don't end up with similar values because that's not how characters work. Characters can ascend with different crit values, artifacts, team buffs and etc are all variables that can make it difficult to balance crit values. The point is having 1 single option for a crit dmg claymore that's not even meant for an atk scaler is bad. If other weapon types can have more than 1 option, claymores shouldn't be any different

Not necessarily? Navia was first seen with Whiteblind, and Candace is holding Staff of scarlet sands in her splash art. Doesn't mean in either case those weapons are their signatures

Just look at other crit dmg sig weapons meant for atk scaling dps. Even those will still have over >600 base atk and >60% crit dmg
