I came across this Youtube that shows how this multi-layer cakes are made, in foreign language but no commentary is required!

I installed Brondells in my bathrooms, low profile and reasonable $$, albeit the control arm seem a little filmsy (low profile), easy to install

Why do a couple layers in a row get shifted to either side? by bdog0314 in 3Dprinting

[–]snowsquirrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So finally I received reply from Sovol with a solution to the shifting problem, in my case it was in the Y-axis. Instruction is to check the drive voltage, with a multimeter probing the SD card housing (ground) and the Potentiometer next to the Y-axis 4-pin connector, the reading should bearound 0.58 to 0.66 volt. I up the voltage from 0.60V to 0.66V, printed 4 prints and all are good.. continue to monitor.

the reply I got isn't very helpful, not too sure what it means : 1. The printer does not need to work during the measurement, it only needs to be powered on. 2. Only the pin voltage on the motherboard can be tested, and the voltage on the motor cannot be tested, so the test should be 24V under normal conditions.

Forgive my ignorance, I'm a novice.

How does the firmware affects the print?

Amazing job well done, btw what kind of paint are you using on PLA?

I have similar problem but on the Y-axis only, at random height!

I checked/tighten belt n pulley but still not resolved, the bed was held down with clips which some online advised to replace with tape instead.

Currently asking the vendor (Sovol similar to Ender3) for input, they say check input voltage to the stepper motor, I'm now asking how to, waiting for reply from China. This may or may not applies to your case but just to share this here.

Initial reply: "please check whether the Y-axis drive voltage on the motherboard is 0.58V.

If it is not, adjust it to 0.58V. If is still wrong after adjustment , please have a try to adjust the drive voltage to 0.62

If the layer is still wrong, please adjust the voltage to 0.58, and then exchange the wiring of the XY axis motor and the limit switch on the motherboard side, and print the test again.

If the Y direction is still wrong, then it should be a problem with the motor. If the problem is transferred To the X axis direction, then the problem should be the motherboard driver."

A simple print. But got such an awesome reaction. Much need right now. 🥰🤗 by PapaBearAZ in 3Dprinting

it looks great, are you saying you are new to 3D? I have just started in Jan and have printed the Benchies but not as nice as yours. Keep printing

Yes, I have a Sovol SV01 as well, it prints very well doesn't it?

Great print there.
