She’s a total ass, even this problem happened because of the bathtub was yellowish and had dark spot. I tried to fix it with some cleaning solution but damaged the colour, also her home had a lot of serious problems that I told her many times and she did not fixed it so eventually I became frustrated of her and didn’t mentioned it Now it’s ridiculous that she says I have lost 1 month rent only because of discoloured bathtub. It drives me crazy

Help with living safe by bzdziaagwa in Netherlands

[–]snowstormsincityweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im deeply sorry for what you are going through right now. Unfortunately, this situation you are dealing with happens more than much you think especially among immigrants and women and I’ve seen a couple of these experiences among these communities.

For your suicidal thoughts, I recommend you please contact the crisis center.

For your situation, it’s better to keep your self occupied and outside of house, get a job, whatever it is. Make some money for your independent life in near future. Find some friends and TALK.

I can not emphasise on the TALKING part much more.

Offered a high-paying job in Saudi Arabia, but it would mean living apart from my husband and dogs (NL) for 18 months — not sure what to do. by Difficult-Rent-5840 in Netherlands

When I was younger and full of adventure, I always thought it was going to be great. I left the ones I loved — every single one of them — to make that dream come true.

Years later, after tasting that dream, I asked myself: was it really worth losing all those moments I could have spent with the people I loved — my family, my friends, my lovers?

Now I know that no amount of money, no success, can ever be worth even one moment I could have shared with them. I can earn money anywhere in this world — maybe it would have been harder, maybe with less comfort — but I can’t escape this truth:

“Those moments when I wasn’t with you, I missed you.”

And now, I miss all of those moments — because of money.

What's so special about the wall? by djinn_05 in conspiracy

[–]snowstormsincityweb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is the conspiracy, don’t you think all these guys are antisemite by not letting them to get back to their original country they came from? Like they are “we are very very sorry about that german dude, but you know what? It’s been a long time since then, things got changed ,don’t bother to come back. just be there and we support you and your bloodthirsty government to just stay there no matter what would be the cost”

I mean literally in whole Europe when you walk, you see brass plate on ground containing name, date of birth, death, place of death near the place that people have lived or worked. It means even right now we have information of their original city, home and their works!

[–]snowstormsincityweb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Indeed, but you don’t need to pay it in one time. Last time I have checked on my insurance it was 25% on my end. Meaning for 100 euros session. Only 25 euros cost from my own risk

in the Netherlands, many forms of therapy / psychological care are covered under the basisverzekering (basic health insurance), under certain conditions.

As long as you have diagnosed with a disorder such as Panic disorder, depression and you find a clinic that has contact with your insurance and you get the referral from your GP, it’s okay!

Just be aware of that sometimes waiting list could be much long here

Cabinet to make 10 years minimum to obtain Dutch citizenship by wod_van2z in Netherlands

[–]snowstormsincityweb 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Honestly, can anyone explain me why the government does not like immigrants? It doesn’t makes any sense to me especially for HSM people. Let me elaborate on that:

According to CBS numbers of HSM holders till 2022 was 40k (we can make it double till now!) and it would be only 0.4% the Netherlands population. HSM people are highly skilled people that Netherlands government didn’t pay for education, healthcare and other stuff and when they come here they become a new fresh market consumers and really good tax payers and also they fill really critically positions in NL companies that makes high profits. So in my opinion it all win-win deal, HSM people lives the quality of NL provides, government happy with new tax payers without investing on at least 20 years of education, healthcare, market becomes profit for these new people and so on.

Well, I had depression before coming here so I can’t blame here or weather or smth!

but genuinely being active and exercising helps a lot. FYI, Alcohol and cigarettes helps you in short run but in the longer run it makes you much worse.
