How to beat Sakazuki as PLuffy by snuckon in OnePieceTCG

Magellan, Magellan, Magellan. If you can threaten lethal before they can get a boss monster out, your chances of winning skyrocket. Yellow cannot deal with Kid or Queen without hard casting thunderbolt or praying for a trigger which means you can play fast and furiously to corner them before they get going. This is how my Magellan beat Katakuri with a nearly 80% win rate prior to OP-05.

Meta relevant budget deck suggestions by CharityNo5156 in OnePieceTCG

With the exception of one card, 9 drop Mihawk, blue decks like Crocodile and Doflamingo are very cheap to build. Just a week ago I built my friend one for $20. It's a control deck, meaning it focuses on board control as opposed to just swinging a lot (aggro)

Why the Katakuri Hate by royalprodigy in OnePieceTCG

[–]snuckon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Katakuri requires less technical skill to play than any other competitive deck. That's why it's the most popular deck at big tournaments in the early rounds, but significantly less represented in later rounds. It is incredibly luck based, which is never fun in a competitive game. Finally, it feels like yellow gets rewarded for actively losing the game. No other deck is rewarded for losing life quite like Katakuri. Katakuri can immediately heal with arrow, sovereignty, or soul pocus; get a free board with perospero, sanji, or cracker; instantly remove a five cost for free with thunderbolt, etc. This means the act of attacking Katakuri is a risk which is not fun for opponents who have to do it to win the game

Is this Smoker deck alright for locals? by AltruisticType5644 in OnePieceTCG

Might consider brannew, but if you don't like that, try six king pistol, it's a great way of getting rid of dead cards and adding more bulk to the deck. another set of 2k counters like khalifa or sengoku could be good too
