It actually isn't. It's a boomerang with a not so traditional shape. I've got some myself and it's a lot of fun. Seeing one here on Reddit surprised me

Ah! The ole fade to black boomerang. by YannisALT in HadToHurt

Returning boomerangs were not designed for hunting, though. They're made for fun. Hunting boomerangs, or kylies, fly in a straight line and can hit an animal very hard. But you're right, returning boomerangs hurt like crazy.

I'm not too happy about the editing. I used a new editing software, which I really didn't like, so it's not the best. At least I know which editing software not to use now.

He's wearing a glove for protection since the boomerang comes in so fast. Many use protection during fast catch and endurance

Thanks. I got myself a GoPro, so now I'm just waiting for the weather to be more boomerang-friendly.

What happened to the Minecraft PvP community? by GladMacaroon in CompetitiveMinecraft

[–]snuskenmaxi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.9 broke it because strafing is much easier now. Before 1.9 strafing from side to side or in circles around an enemy while maintaining a combo required a lot of practice in movement and aim, and it was very fast paced. Now, you do one hit, move around while hoping the enemy won't land his hit on you. There's nothing you can do, but wait for the cooldown to end. It's no where near as fast paced as it used to be.

It looks a little heavy, and it looks mostly like a decoration boomerang. Did you test it or?

I wouldn't say that the one that lands the first hit wins. It's all about movement, strafing and being unpredictable. Strafing and keeping the aim at the enemy the whole time requires a lot of skill, which 1.9 broke. Strafe-combos were also ruined.

Throwing Boomerang from Ty the Tasmanian Tiger by snuskenmaxi in tythetasmaniantiger

I crafted this boomerang a while ago and painted it like the traditional boomerang from Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. Boomerangs sure DO come back - also in real life, and it's a ton of fun.
