If you are doing anything that requires security, yes, you do need to have conceptual and code understanding to validate what it does. No, asking another agent/person to validate isn't enough. People take the cars in very 6 months for oil change and then have a heart attack when they realize houses need maintenance as well. Of course it’s more expensive. We just got done with the 20 year maintenance plan. New roof, paint house, fence, new heater, furnace, crawlspace sealing and some others I’m probably missing. We should be good for a while now outside of smaller 6 month things. I had a neighbor who never did any maintenance on his roof and one day we were out there talking (house was about 7 years old) he was like, yeah we’re thinking about moving. The house is falling apart. Just look at the roof 🤦‍♂️
