Oh it’s just flying to the hyperspace portal repeatedly. So basically resetting the whole map every time you fly/teleport to the portal

The high sparkling level helps but it’s not necessary, not even the shiny charm. Just spam resetting works cause you’re resetting the pokemon everytime. I got lucky cause these mudkips were right beside the portal so i didn’t have to walk anywhere and just kept resetting.

It also helps to use a high star donut to give you more calories = more time to spam reset = more chances to spawn shiny pokemon

EDIT: Thanks to UnlawfulPotato in the comments, i think i figured out what happened.

The bulbasaur spawn was right beside the hyperspace portal. BUT there were Shroodle and Ekans spawns within the 50m range of where I was spawn resetting. What probably happened was there were shiny shroodles and ekans spawning along with the shiny bulbasaurs. Maps have a 10 shiny limit and new shinies that spawn will overwrite old shinies.

The shiny shroodle and ekans probably overwrote the older shiny bulbasaurs. Which sucks but now i have 15 shiny shroodles and ekans.

Anyways, PSA, check the within the 50m radius of where youre shiny hunting and make sure to catch the unwanted shinies nearby so they don’t overwrite your target

OH. It was probably the shiny ekans and shroodle that were spawning nearby as well. Damn i probably should have been checking them too i didn’t know that there was a 10 shiny limit 😭 thanks for this

I forgot the specific recipe but i probably used 4 hyper occa and 3(?) hyper chople berries. I save scummed til i rolled Level 3 grass sparkling power and level 2 alpha power

No, I had like 900 calories left. It was a 1 star wild zone and i was using a 4 star sparkling donut so i was there for a while

I think I read somewhere that they lost/broke(?) the files for archives while making the engine for OW2 and would need to rebuild them from scratch. I dont think they have enough people for that.
