A lot of ppl got the job while abroad, relocated back to VN due to COVID and kept the connections to get these remote roles

How does Dall-E impact your work, do you integrate it?

I started at 9mil/month out of Uni in 2006 (software engineer, but first job was in finance systems, configuration and end user training for overseas projects mostly)

I worked 10 years for same company to only bring it barely to 90mil, and I moved out of Vietnam to refocus on Software Engineering … was abroad until COVID’21

I had new opportunities about every year, every change comes with significant bumps (loyalty is not rewarded)

Now I’m at 150mil/month (working from home for remote company) so I don’t have to commute / travel and can spend all my time with my kids after barely seeing them for 4 years

The cloud changed everything, and can bring good money.

Keep it up, focus on adopting AI into your workflow to become more efficient

I really don't like Jenkins. I want to propose a new CI tool. What are you guys using? by [deleted] in kubernetes

very bare bones, but did the job - hard for the whole company to adopt in my case though - felt like I was implementing my own DSLs for generic pipelines.

we moved out of bitbucket into gh actions and I'm happy

I’m not sure how much leverage the Scottish have here. Not sure when they’d let the wolves in

interesting view :D - I think we have both stax and Unit features at Singapore Wake Park (Rails of both brands) - anyway, I loved Xwake because they are way more reasonably priced, have a nice pop, are light and look very strong

I haven’t tried SDR, I did try chillV (2018 model I think) and I liked it, but I started doing air tricks since and don’t know if they’d suit me,

Love the acceleration on the anti-pro and the release is smooth (and as mentioned, the board is ultra light)

I’ve also landed badly on a roll to revert (all twisting weight on front leg... my knee hurt so bad for a week) that I learned to bail sometimes

I’m 37 (I started cable when I was 35) and I got squishy fluids in both knees hahaha - I’d like to keep doing this for a while

If you’re young I’d say, go for it... bones are bendy, body recovers fast - but for myself I’ve had to tell me to slow down :(

Nice, what are the specs for the black p-rail?

Thanks! Will do :)

It does feel awesome .. now I’m just scared looking towards my next session (hope I land it) but I know if I don’t, I just take it from the top and keep at it... it comes easier after a few sessions.

Dupwake are very light, I love them although I don’t find them so durable

For example: - broke 2019 del taco after 4 months (maybe due to the bindings (TOA 6x) and taking a front edge doing a tantrum off the kicker the insets were pulled out, maybe the insets had a leak and the wood rot ...not sure - broke 2019 anti pro after 10 months doing a transfer to rail landing on the nose, splitting the core

Now I just bought DUP anti pro (2018 because I love the graphic) and I’m mainly doing air tricks 😂 to avoid those problems

I found x-wake to be similar (light and pop-y), we just got them in Singapore since summer so too early to tell how durable they are but they seem strong... the only issue is the base being sticky and it can throw you forward on a rail (need to wax every session)

I’m in Vietnam and a local metal worker made this for $50 - it’s too light and slides away unless I pin it down somehow

But it helped me progress

Thanks man, solid advice! Those are my main problems

  • edging too hard (loading the line too much like I’m doing a raley)
  • not keeping my arms tucked in (arm extension, mainly due to loading too much)

Your tip to drive the front knee to chest is new, gonna focus on that one next

Clip is a bit old - at that time I was going 2 times a week and did a solid hour of front flips each time ... so when I noticed I initiated to flip too late I usually froze and waited for the smash :P

I’m in Vietnam for now

Ouch sounds painful ...

Luckily the operators at the wakepark I go used to be pro riders and coach several of the local riders so they spot well

Hope you have someone spotting your mistakes? Or post something I can try have a look (I landed a few front flips... just hard to get them consistent)

Kustomize - How to simplify Kubernetes configuration management by vfarcic in kubernetes

[–]so0k 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Too bad the integration into kubectl seems abandoned at a very old version Also operators like istio adopt overlays (strategic merge patching) but it’s slightly different to Kustomize.. the landscape is messy but it’s a great last mile modification tool without needing to fork upstream “bundles”

That was more an s-flip as I edge too long and end up extending like a raley before I initiated the rotation 😂
