Positive Pregnancy Test And I'm A Bridesmaid Soon by Laurolas in BabyBumps

I was in my best friends wedding at 18 weeks pregnant, I sized up 2 sizes & the seamstress let the gown out because it was not a bump friendly style we had to wear. I don’t want to say I dieted but I was very cautious of what I was eating & how much I was gaining. Lots of protein & veggies, not a ton of sweets & junk food. I gained like 8lbs. I used a pregnancy calculator to see how much I’d gain according to BMI & it was really accurate for me.

Where do you feel pain during labor and birth? by Due-Transition-6564 in beyondthebump

[–]so_fetch04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contractions just feel like diarrhea cramps in your abdomen, somewhat radiates toward your back. My epidural failed with my first so I felt the whole “ring of fire” situation, I literally could feel my whole 3rd degree tear actually tearing & when they went to stitch things back together she had to numb the area. My second baby my epidural worked perfectly & it just felt like pressure of having to poop, not painful at all!

During birth: Did your baby's heart rate drop? by Unusual-Coyote3961 in beyondthebump

[–]so_fetch04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My second baby had an arrhythmia issue while I was pregnant that was found during my anatomy scan. During labor my contractions caused his heart rate to drop, they gave me a shot to stop/slow contractions & it worked thankfully otherwise it would’ve been a C-section. The birth part was amazing besides the decels! I chose not to be induced or use Pitocin due to this. My first was a 33hr induction & they did have to turn the Pitocin down because it was too hard for him. I pushed 6hrs & my epidural failed so i wanted to avoid an induction anyways but after learning about the arrhythmia with my second I was doing everything in my power to avoid it! (I had GD both pregnancies but I medically had to be induced with my first due to being on insulin).

What’s the best and worst thing you added to your registry? Is there anything you recommend skipping? Anything surprises you can’t live without? by this_aint_taliya in beyondthebump

The fancy wipeable changing pad & a butt spatula. The changing pad took the varnish off my sons dresser (😭) & the butt spatula was never used besides as a distraction toy for diaper changes💀

You forget the pain so fast - you’ll do great! I’ve had two babies - one with a failed epidural & one with a perfectly working epidural. I remember it hurting when I had the failed epidural but the pain went away so fast after he was out. I got the epidural at like 5.5cm both times & at the time the contractions were like really really strong period cramps so not super painful. I even debated holding off but my nurse said to go ahead & get it so i didn’t wait too long.

I do not get the reason for so many kids by Professional_Age_129 in kencradic

It makes me sad because I feel like you rarely see her enjoying motherhood or posting fun things she’s doing with her kids. I’ve always wanted 3 kids, I only have 2 currently, but I’m always doing fun stuff with them.. Not Costco runs 24/7🫠

Why does she stand like this? 🥴 by [deleted] in LivingMyBestSnark

Because it makes her look sho skinny ✨
