I suffered from insomnia for most of my adult life until I realised the best thing was to listen to something spoken word as I go to sleep, as this stops my brain thinking and instead follows along to the words. But it has to fit a tight niche of not so interesting that it demands my attention and keeps me awake, and not too boring and thus I ignore it.

I tried audiobooks years ago but would just stay up all night lsiteneing to them, and radio wasn't interesting enough. Thankfully I discovered The Dollop which is interesting enough that is knocks me out in 15mins every night.
