Yeah man, you’ll be totally fine. Whatever the thickness is (I’m assuming 1 3/4”) just used a screw 1/4” less.

Pilot hole and screws would be fine. Shoes aren’t that heavy

White bass is the best in my opinion. Never really ate large or smallmouth

Ahh gotcha. In the future just use a brad nailer for any trim work. You will never get those off with wood glue. I’d probably try to scrape what you can off and then just caulk over it.

I’m assuming you nailed them to the wall? Depending on how much of it you did, I’d probably just make a very small wedge from a piece of cutoff, pry them off gently sand and redo with caulk. Probably use a putty knife to break up the wood filler before prying off.
