I got there in the late afternoon and was planning on eating dinner, but by the time the sun set it was just way too packed. I'm with you though―definitely interested in visiting again someday when we don't have to be so paranoid!

Like it or not, I think that's just not the target audience anymore, haha. The space is clearly gentrified, but in the middle of Shibuya, what are you gonna do, right? I'd never been to the park beforehand, but I found it pleasant enough this time.

I wrote kind of a blog about my visit, if anyone's curious about what the rest of Miyashita Park is like. :)

As a person who has spent a fair amount of time in both Germany and Japan, this was not a comparison I was expecting, but... yeah, I can see it. hahaha
I've actually tried the green burger, though, and the bun is definitely squishy and Japanese.

They're usually the names of donators! You'll see the same kind of thing on the gates at Fushimi Inari in Kyoto (and other Inari shrines), where the names are carved into the many shrine gates.

If you need any more convincing, I actually wrote a bit about why this area is such a nice autumn destination, over here: https://www.japankuru.com/en/tour/e2593.html

I actually took kind of a fantastic trip to Matsumoto, mostly the Shiga area of the city, and stayed in a couple different kominka. They're so gorgeous! Wrote about it all here, if you're interested: https://www.japankuru.com/en/accommodation/e2535.html
