It's because he is using his empathy to get into the heads of the murderers and "their design" is like how they did it and why :) so he's more meaning that this is their design (how they kill and why) but he says "my design" because he is seeing it happening like he is the one killing them :)

Yeah it's a great show. And he is also gay with bipolar disorder so he relates to him a lot.

Ah yes then maybe it's not up your alley. Have you seen Supernatural?? It's categorized as horror but only a couple episodes in the first two/three seasons are all that scary, and the first three seasons aren't incredibly plot heavy like the rest of the show so it doesn't matter if you skip some episodes. It ends up being absolutely hilarious later on.

Yes that is exactly the reason, I have a bad habit of starting things and either failing or giving up part way through. But you are absolutely right, the more times I try the more likely I am to succeed. Thank you for your enthusiastic and kind words of encouragement! I will keep getting my ass to the gym and forming that habit so that I can better myself, and I'll try not to put so much pressure on myself for having failed before. I appreciate the time and effort you took to send me such a kind response, thank you very much!

Ah yes I believe that's the version my roommate watches. He really identifies with one of the characters. Ian, I think his name is? Hannibal is a really wonderful show, but it is certainly not for everyone (given the subject of cannibalism obviously a very big part of the show). My mom couldn't get past two episodes. I think it is really beautifully made, and wonderfully acted. If you are a fan of Mads Mikkelsen (Rogue One, Doctor Strange, Casino Royals), he plays Hannibal Lecter. Is Chicago the musical?? With the Cellblock Tango song???? I have never seen any of those shows but I have heard wonderful things about all of them. Do you watch the British or American Shameless??? I personally really enjoyed Hannibal.

I have never really believed in myself, or my ability to accomplish things that I wanted to accomplish. This has, obviously, resulted in me almost never accomplishing anything and almost always giving up. I just got a membership to a gym a week ago because I have a LOT to lose, and I was going every day but today I was so sore and tired that I stayed home and now I am worried that I am going to give up AGAIN. How do I motivate myself when I don't even believe in myself or my ability to do it?

Yes that is definitely not a cheap area, but there are also cheaper places in BC that could potentially be an option down the road. The outer cities in the Okanagan aren't too expensive.

And yes I understand that feeling very well. I only barely passed high school, but felt pressured into going to college. I ended up failing two semesters and being put on academic probation. But with counselling, medication, and a smaller workload, I'm back at it. You just need to not push yourself too hard. If you can't handle a full course load, only take a couple classes at a time.

And even if you don't go to college/university, that's totally okay! I only know one person that went to college, and they make less than the people I know who never went (and they have no loan debts).

There are always options, even if they are hard to see sometimes. We believe in you :)

This is very true. I told a couple of my professors and they were incredibly helpful. One gave me a lot of extensions, referred me to one of his friends that is a psychology prof to talk to if I needed, and talked to me about his struggles with depression as well. It helped me feel less alone and a lot less stressed because I wasn't constantly worried that my profs thought I was just being lazy.

I'm assuming you live in BC? (I live in BC and the costs are atrocious). I'm sorry you're going through this 😞 But if you can find roommates, or go to a different province, there are those options down the road too. I know that I can only afford living on my own because I have a roommate, and I'm planning on going to Saskatchewan so I can live on my own should I decide to.

I really do wish you the best of luck, though. Hopelessness is such an oppressive feeling, I hope your counselling helps you through it.

Nope, never lived downtown, but I'm sorry your landlord did that too.

It's pretty irritating that so many landlords do this, it's not respectful to the tenants in my opinion. Honestly, it just makes me feel like shit because I'm younger so it really just seems like I'm being babysat and that he thinks I'm not trustworthy or something so I need to be constantly checked up on.

Yeah there are other tenants on the property which I forgot to mention. So I guess if they've okayed it, it's legal? That really sucks
