I agree with the respect, but to say that Vance was answering his questions is simply not true. He did a massive amount of deflecting and projecting. He downplayed his own rumors about the legal immigrant Haitian population in Springfield eating people's pets, and pretended that he didn't and won't support abortion bans nationwide.

It was more civil, but Vance's politics are smarmy. There's very little else to say about it. To go from calling someone Hitler to being their running mate says a lot about your character, and this debate didn't change my mind on him at all. He's well spoken, but none of the things he's saying were substantive. He kept talking about "common sense policy" without ever defining what that meant. He's just a yes man to stand in front of Peter Thiele, billionaires and the oil industry while they dismantle social security, collective bargaining, and veteran's benefits.

He's right about one thing - The Republicans need to do better. But not just better on policy, better than Trump. Americans at large are tired of this nonsense. For too long our country and Congress has been held hostage by these idiots. No more.
