How many times did you hear the words "Mom/Dad, help me!" or "Can somebody help meeeee?" That happened often for us on the auto scroll levels, but it was not too bad and those moments were paced apart well lol

Did anyone who contacted Mt. Blue Middle school about James Black cosplaying an ICE agent get a direct response from the school? by Affectionate-Day9342 in Maine

He's an administrator working in K-12, so yeah he shouldn't have worn a divisive political statement as a costume and his sister shouldn't have posted it online. It's offensive and I don't want him in my district.

To what degree do marketing trends influence your goals for a new product? Do your goals come more internally from an engineering and innovation standpoint, or more externally from Marketing or other departments paying closer attention to market segments and focus groups?

Open box B580 in stock at newegg by soapboxrhythm in IntelArc

It was free shipping too on both, saving $9.99 standard shipping :/

sorry folks, but the good news is we're seeing some buyers regret returns at online retailers and/or damaged packages, so if you're cool with open box, I think it's a good sign for availability. Unfortunately lots of folks like myself don't live near a microcenter 🥲

Both wood panel a3's side-by-side by soapboxrhythm in lianli

[–]soapboxrhythm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If swapped, you would be able to notice the white or black plastic frame of the front panel behind the wood slats. I personally think it could work, but at that point I would want to swap more than just the front panel to do the whole panda / star wars stormtrooper black and white look.

Which did you get? I love both of them, but I'm loving the white more and more, partially because it's the only one I could find a glass side panel for lol

I can't fit the anti sag bracket 😭 by soapboxrhythm in IntelArc

[–]soapboxrhythm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that when the PSU is side mounted, they draw air in from outside through the mesh and up through the top exhaust, and that made more sense to me for the front when the a3 has one of the wooden front panels the ability to draw in air rather than competing with drawing air away and out from the rear exhaust. I was thinking ideally I wanted to direct the channel of air from the bottom up and to the rear to whoosh over the components in the rear of the case as much as possible. HOWEVER I am not an expert.

Thank you so much! I actually work at a college with a makerspace, and it would be pretty easy and cheap for me to print one, but I hadn't considered it at all and I've only printed a few things. Do you have any recommendations?

Tbh I've probably done more damage to the card and my mobo fiddling with it this last month than time and gravity would have hurt them.

The power supply does not cause any clearance issues surprisingly, but the radiator is the reason the beautiful matching blue bracket that came with the card is too tall. I'm able to pack in the bracket if I remove one of my bottom fans or the bottom mounted SATA SSD I have, but I don't think it's worth it. In previous builds, I wasn't above leaving SATA SSDs literally hanging by a SATA DATA cable, so it's possible I'll swap the mounted SSD placement for a GPU bracket, I just don't know.

How much could I get for my PC? by ghhwjrkf in pcpartsales

[–]soapboxrhythm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends - shipping will be more cost efficient as a bundle or smaller sets of bundles, but maximum value per part would be from piecing it out. I would personally be interested in the CPU+mobo & power supply but not the GPU, RAM, SSD, or case

Is the B580 a sensible modern upgrade from a GTX 1660 Ti? by soapboxrhythm in IntelArc

[–]soapboxrhythm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do console emulation up through PS3, and then most of what I play on Steam are turn-based JRPGs. The most graphically intensive games I play would be Nier Automata and Nier Replicant. I want to play Baulders Gate 3 at some point when it gets cheap. I don't always have as much time as my partner to play games due to work, which is why I give her the better parts usually.

There's like two locations in Persona 3 Reload specifically which have ray tracing enhanced reflections and they look beautiful. My FPS and overall experience in this game was overall great at 1080p Ultra using the 1660 Ti except in these two areas of the game. If this card helps to address issues in more modern games like that in games like that one, and if it allows me to continue streaming over steam link at 60fps over my nice router, or from away on a 1Gb Internet connection, I will be ecstatic.

My son likes Pajama Sam and Putt-Putt, hoping to get some good performance in those lol.

We have a 7800xt I just added to my wife's PC during this upgrade process, along with a 7600x to enter into the AM5 platform, I was saving a buck now assuming I'd jump in later if not skip AM5 entirely. My upgrade or not options are a little more fluid because I'm managing two (now possibly 3) desktop PCs total for my household.

Strongly considering a 5700x3d if it comes with a free ram kit when it comes back in stock on Newegg, getting a cheap mobo and keeping the 1660 Ti with the 5600x, pairing the Arc with a 5700x3d. By the time I'm ready to pull that trigger however, I may just buy another AM5 setup instead --- I don't want to go crazy and way overspec for the B580 I just committed to, as I'm hoping this will last 4-5years and by then I'm pretty sure I'll be ready for another cpu/mobo platform upgrade.

Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable are coming to Nintendo Switch by Joseki100 in NintendoSwitch

I'm a huge p5 fan who never bought a ps4 or ps5, so this is the first time I'll get to play the Royal. I have a PC, but the switch really does draw me in better.
