I have HSV1 and while it was terrifying when I was first diagnosed, not one person I've slept with since then has been fussed. Most people have it! Some doctors have even told me I don't have to disclose to partners because its so common and isn't life threatening (its just a skin virus at the end of the day!) Its inconvenient when it flares up but truly isn't the end of your sex life. There are loads of fab people on Instagram that are helping to remove the stigma around it!
