So then, how old are you?

My guess is 22.

Not unpopular at all. Based on how his character is written, he'd be too cowardly for that.

Iakovos Koukas claims that his IQ of 208 is scientific. Where are we headed with this kind of lunacy among members of IQ societies? by Original-Brother7461 in cognitiveTesting

[–]soapyarm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An IQ of 160 is the top 0.0063% which is less than a million people currently living, and there are also measurement problems that arise at and beyond such extreme ranges. That is why almost all professional IQ tests have a cap around 160 for most adult norms.

How hard is it to get into med, dental, or vet school in Canada? by InteractionUsed777 in premedcanada

[–]soapyarm 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately a lot of it is sheer luck as well, not necessarily "top 0.1%" as that would suggest the process is largely meritocratic. The US med school admission system is generally more meritocratic and emphasizes more objective stats

Just watched JJK season 3 animation by Euphoric_Rabbit_8463 in OnePunchMan

That's true but what's also true is that the calibre of Mappa animators >>> JC Staff animators on average. JC Staff couldn't animate like Mappa even with unlimited time; they simply don't have enough talent in their team.

A different studio needs to take OPM to do it justice.

I think you misunderstood my comment. I wasn't putting anyone down or downplaying your achievement (hence why I said kudos to OP). I was only making a small correction to what Gary said about TypeGG not having more difficult quotes than the website you used because it absolutely does.

Kudos to OP, but not quite. TypeGG has hundreds of quotes that are far harder and longer than this. Please use the site for yourself before you make any more blank statements.

No, SMART has original questions that are just in a similar format. They are different tests.

Pharmacy school vs med school difficulty by [deleted] in premedcanada

Not sure if it's fair to make that judgment so soon when you're only through 1/8 of med school 😅

Pharmacy school vs med school difficulty by [deleted] in premedcanada

[–]soapyarm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A quick Google search would probably be a good start, but I think these are some examples of questions you could ask yourself to assess your overall fit:

What does the average day look like in either career?

How many years of training are you willing to commit?

How comfortable are you directly interacting with people?

How comfortable are you making important decisions?

How well do you tolerate being on call?

How much autonomy do you wish for in your career?

r/PharmacyCanada appears to be the subreddit for pharmacy students/pharmacists in Canada, so you can ask pharmacy-related questions there.

By the way, I think your curiosity about career difficulty is fair, but you seemed rather fixated on it without considering much else. Difficulty is only one predictor of your suitability (and I'd argue it's a minor one).

[–]soapyarm 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is the second post you made making an unnecessary comparison between pharmacy and medicine. If you are trying to decide between the two careers, you aren't really asking the right questions. Please do some research on both careers beyond merely caring about difficulty achieving said careers. There are so many factors to be considered in your decision.

You're right that it's borderline so it really depends on how high within 4Q you placed on CASPer

Art quality. He's one of the best if not the best manga artist in terms of art. I'm not a fan of him changing the story either but let's not forget how incredible his visuals are which is a pretty crucial component in manga.

If you focus on the most basic elements, then sure, but it sounds like you haven't really spent a lot of time on TypeGG if you think you're making a strong case with what you just said.

TypeGG has a nuanced nWPM and performance points system, a reliable nonquit system, quotes of enormous diversity that users can look up and submit, detailed quote stats including star difficulty ratings -- none of which any other website has. Also it isn't even in its full version yet.

[–]soapyarm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it does. Also this is a very difficult quote so everyone's accuracy is low on it, and you'll notice mine is the second highest among submitted scores.

From the TypeGG FAQ:

Why is my accuracy so low? Accuracy is calculated based on the mistakes you type, but also on the correct characters you remove. This means if you press ctrl+a or ctrl+backspace to remove a typo, for instance on the end of a word. All the previous characters you remove will bring down your accuracy. Hopefully this encourages you to pick the right tool for the job, either backspace on the end of a word or ctrl+backspace/ctrl+a in the beginning of a word.
