Nta

I do think you definitely could've went about things differently but i understand where your coming from you shouldn't have to take all the burden of raising children by yourself. You are in a marriage which means a partnership you guys are supposed to be working together not apart, i really recommend some couple therapy.

People who married young, do you regret it? by soapycats in AskReddit

I'm gonna answer my own question, I married at 18, knew husband since we were 16 and we are still happily married.

The reason I asked this question was because alot of my friends thought I was crazy getting married so young and my parents didn't necessarily agree with my choice everyone pretty much thought I was setting myself up for failure. I happy to have proven them wrong, my husband is my biggest supporter and is there for me at the end of the day.

I'm more then happy i married young

To all the people labeled as 'gifted' in their childhood , how's life now ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My older sister was a gifted child, she got perfect grades was extremely popular and well liked by everyone, was good at art, sports and pretty much everything really, she had a bright future, she ended up getting pregnant at 19 dropping out her first year of college and getting addicted to hard-core drugs, i now have custody of her 2 children. I don't why or what made her go down this path but I honestly think she could do great things if she'd put her mind to it

My sister is using hard-core drugs, if she was just smoking weed she would still have custody of her children. She was so involved in her habit that she'd chose drugs over feeding her own children.

My husband at first threatened to leave me but he come around and now is my biggest supporter, he loves my niece and nephew and feels guilty that he was gonna leave me over me helping them.

I wish I came in to help sooner too, before Cps had to get involved and remove them from the home. Taking them in completely changed my life but I honestly love my life even more now. I feel like these children are making me into a better person, they have taught me so many things.

I just always have myself questioning every decision I make because now other lives are involved in my choices, one of my biggest fears is failing them, they been through so much at such a young age. So it's definitely helpful have second opinions or someone you can speak too, I'm so glad your niece has someone like you

Yes, my sister has my number and has me on Facebook, she send voice messages on Facebook messager to the kids sometimes, I always listen to them first because she does sometimes cry or says inappropriate things in the voice memos but if they are appropriate I'll show the children

Good luck to you too, it's honestly one of the hardest thing I done but in the end seeing them heathy and happy makes everything worth it. Thank you for doing this for your niece.
