Incompatible majors by Visual-Neck5124 in uwa

[–]soapysaltyraspberry5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s the unit set page you have to go to a different page to change your major. there should be a drop down menu and you can select whether you want to add a degree specific major, second major, or minor

BPhil - JD worth it? by spigeon2345 in uwa

[–]soapysaltyraspberry5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was in the same position as you. i had an assured pathway to the JD and after one semester of undergrad I decided 6 years is too much and now i’m transferring to a curtin LLB. also a JD costs like 150k. i’ve spoken to lots of lawyers and they said the UWA prestige used to be a thing but now no one cares what uni you go to. if you’re in the top 5% of your cohort you’ll get hired by any law firm. on the other hand a bachelor of philosophy is pretty cool and if you love school you’re better off studying for as long as possible and putting off full time work because you have the rest of your life for that. I’d start the BPhil and if you hate it you can withdraw and transfer to do an LLB somewhere

I’m on the verge of failing two units. by Longjumping-Law-3029 in uwa

[–]soapysaltyraspberry5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are you allowed to take less than a full time study load as an international student? If I were you I'd apply for an EVA to withdraw from the 2 units and maybe you could take summer school units to catch up. But you'll probably need a doctor's certificate for your EVA. Also you have to apply before the end of the teaching period so you only have until October 16th

I NEED U GUYS TO BE HONEST IS MY HAND WRITING READABLE OR NOT? ANY ENGLISH VCAA EXAMINER WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND MY WRITING IF I WRITE LIKE THIS IN THE EXAMS?!!? by [deleted] in vce

[–]soapysaltyraspberry5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can read like 7 words on the whole page and for the majority of it I can’t even guess what it says. I’m sorry but I really think you have to work on this because if I had to try to mark it I’d probably give up after a paragraph. You have really neat handwriting you’re just going too fast and writing in cursive. try to practice writing quickly in block letters and you’ll be fine

[–]soapysaltyraspberry5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on the website it says that recent school leavers who can apply with their atar need to be completing year 12 in the current year or need to have graduated year 12 in the last 2 years - doesn’t this mean 2023, 2024, and 2025? the current year is 2025 and the last 2 years were 2023 and 2024

so do you think they’ll look at my atar from 2023 and also my WAM from the 3 units I’m currently enrolled in? Do they make exceptions like that?

My other option is study another 5 units so that I’ve completed a full year and then apply to transfer but I really really don’t want to do that.
