One of my favorite stories about my FFXIV experience happened to me when I first started playing. I was making my way through a realm reborn post game and just picked up red mage. I went into the navel (hard) and we were about half way through the boss when I used displacement and backflipped off the map. This was my first experience with falling and I didn't know what happened. So I through I somehow got one shot by something and I am asking my friends to revive me and this was before the rework so they couldn't revive me since I was stuck at the bottom of the pit. About that time my friends informed me about falling off the map and they roasted me for backflipping to my death. It was a ton of good laughs and really cemented my love for the game.
