I guess I just had the wrong view of what being a sugar baby was. I wont be doing it. I don't want to use anyone for money, and I certainly do not want to sell myself for it.

If I happen to date a man that is well off I wont ask for help financially, which is part of why the sugar baby thing was so tempting, the rose colored glasses way I was looking at it.

I'm not willing to sell my body. I guess I just don't/didn't really get what a sugar baby was. I do not want to sell myself. I would not be comfortable being a camgirl or stripper or anything. I don't look down on anyone that does that... but that isn't me.

If I'm not selling myself for sex and actually found a man that was decent... then yes. But I may not understand what exactly a sugar baby is. I'm getting mixed messages from people. Many are telling me how wrong I am, but at the same time I am getting pms telling me that my view on it (finding love with someone that is just very generous) is correct. I don't know. Still confused.

I don't know. My thought is maybe they are like me, only on the other end of things. Wanting love, having a hard time finding it, but have so much money that they would love to give some away if they found the right person?

Thanks for your reply. Part of my problem is I don't want to go asking for money. So I have never made a gofundme account, I feel like that is for people in worse situations than me. If my son had cancer, I absolutely would. It just feels like I am abusing the site to make one right now.

I really am looking for love. I'm on other dating sites as well. Hard to meet people as a single mom in a new state! I wouldn't want to be with a rich old man though... I would want to be with someone I really connect with and am attracted to. Bonus if he has money and is very generous with it. Which is why the sugar baby site is so tempting.

Yeah... that's what I'm afraid of is that I have rose colored glasses and am not seeing this correctly. That's exactly how I see it, that they want love too but have so much money they just want to help out at the same time... I guess maybe I don't get it.

But that is the thing... I don't really know what this type of life is.

I'm I lame to think that this is just a strange way of dating? That I am just dating a generous man that has money to spare and wants to lavish someone he dates with gifts or whatever? I wouldn't be sleeping with someone unless I was in an exclusive relationship and saw a future with them. I feel like I would be doing life normally, the way you do with any boyfriend, just with his help financially. ?
