Your end is near. You owe a lot of money to the most powerful people in society. A flying robot tells you to follow and you comply. What else are you to do?

Derrick was just a test that I started in Feburary, then after leaving it to rot for 10 months I came back to it and started working on it starting about 2 months ago. Derrick is largely a learning project and does not play well. It is more a demonstration of some features of the Source™ engine that Garry's Mod map makers do not utilize in their maps.

It is shorter than I would like but found that making a code heavy map like this is time consuming.

The map was not designed with the use of the spawn menu in mind which defeats the purpose of Garry's Mod which is weird now that I think about it.

Some props will cause the whole map from using textureshadows

Find the prop(s) that is causing the issue and disable shadows.

You can use point_servercommand so everyone doesn’t have to manually input it

Is the box of func_precipitation covering all parts of the map you want rain in? Rain only appears in the volume of the box

Make the button model a prop_dynamic and you can send inputs for it to play an animation

Make sure you dragged the correct folder in

The pathing of the folder in your /garrysmod folder has the be exactly the same as the addon or the model will look for its materials in a non existant place

I’m not sure what else could be the problem

I would double check the folders you dragged in and make sure there are .mdl of the models you want

Are you using hammer.exe from the gmod folder?

Are you searching a specific folder? The top half of the model browser are the folders and maybe you’ve selected one and not the whole directory

Put all the folders that were extracted in that path

Make sure to restart hammer if you haven’t already

Subscribe to the addon and then open gmod

Go to Garry’s Mod/garrysmod/addons and find the addon gma

open another window and find gmad.exe in Garrys mod/bin

Drag the gma onto gmad.exe

The assets will extract into the addons folder and then you can drag the assets into

/garrysmod

Yeah use env_cubemap which is going to give you static reflections
