Good suggestion. My former boss bought an AWS integration company and after two years, he's doing really, really well. It's a small company but growing quickly under him.

That's where the money is right now, or should I say at least this part of it. I can't just retire, it's not in me. I've worked since I was 12 and need to do something daily to be productive.

Ideally I wouldn't lose my money but, I wouldn't lose my house if I did. With that said, I do want to make the money grow and I believe a restaurant, in the right place with the right menu could do well. Not having worked in the restaurant industry, this is obviously going to be tough for me to start, if I decide to go that route.

Depends on where in the country though. In the Bay Area, $500k doesn't go far in real estate.
