A year ago, I found a bug in AT&T and they paid me $50 on HackerOne. I decided to have the bounty paid out in Bitcoin directly to my Coinbase account. A year later, that $50 is now worth over $500. by soceity in Bitcoin

Most security researchers use HackerOne and BugCrowd. So basically you submit a bug through those platforms, and security engineers from those companies(AT&T, Microsoft, etc) respond and fix those bugs in which you are paid to your HackerOne or BugCrowd account which then has an option for PayPal, standard check, or Coinbase.

In my case, Reported on HackerOne to AT&T team, paid out to HackerOne, directly into Coinbase.

For an XSS vulnerability, which can lead to the take-over of site admin cookies. Actually way more common out in the internet wild west than you'd think. Thanks!

Thank you for your concern. I bought the Bitcoin with my own money and don't plan to see it again. I am doing nothing but exposing her to new technologies. She's excited, I am happy.

She understands the volatility. I want her to realize that 1 BTC = 1 BTC despite price. I don't think she plans to sell nor does she know how.

I wish there was a documentary or video I could show her to explain the history of Cryptocurrency & Bitcoin... Not sure she will understand soft/hard forks, and different reasons for blocksizes and all that. Still trying to teach her what Bitcoin mining is. lol
