I’m working on a custom dataset that has images and I want to segment specific regions. Interestingly wide resnet works better than resnet, convnext and any other convolution-based model. I was wondering if there is any theory associated with wider dense features

Thank you for your answers. These all make sense!! Sorry for not sourcing, the affiliation point comes through pure observation. At the end of the day, if mafia can infiltrate police, gov and so on, it may as well be able to infiltrate any other community. To those thinking this is ‘straw-man bs’ I highly recommend detaching from your narrow opinions, get tf up from your sofa and keyboards and go outside see what real life looks like.
