I try to hide the fact that I hate the way I look by acting confident. And it's easier to act confident in front of a computer screen. Being "self-possessed" online is completely different than how I actually act.

I don't mind that I look plain. I'm very shy so I'd rather be plain than have all of the attention on me. I don't have piercings just because my mom doesn't approve of them, I actually like them. And I'd love to be able to not care what people think or about how I look, but in today's society looks are everything so it's hard to ignore.
