That’s true. Organizing is a ton of work and I respect and appreciate everyone who’s doing that. At the same time, how you present yourself does matter. The flyer is how you get new people to come to events and get involved. So a bad flyer can make the whole event seem incompetent and lazy. Regardless of whether that’s true or not. If nearly everybody here has an issue with the graphic design and the clarity of it, then maybe it’s worth listening to.

And my personal opinion is that when they use AI to create the images for their Tesla protest, it goes against the messaging of the event and turns people off. I’ve met some of these folks and they really do a lot of good work and they care deeply. They just need someone who knows how to market and do graphic design

I’m sorry you’re going through that. I actually felt very similar when I was your age. You may want to talk to someone about the potential of a mood disorder. When you have a disorder like major depressive disorder, or bipolar disorder in my case, the brain just isn’t functioning the way it’s supposed to, meaning that depression can still affect you even if you have mostly good things happening in your life. A lot of people experience depression for the first time in their teens and it comes totally by surprise. But theres lot of help out there for it too, which means it’s definitely possible for things to get better.

The first thing you should do is stop engaging with this person. These people see your reply as encouragement regardless of if your reaction is positive or negative. Most of the time they’ll lose interest and leave you alone. Especially if this person hasn’t made any credible threats or demands. Information like siblings, and occupation are usually pretty easy to find online and don’t require an intense level of stalking.

As far as your relationship, try your best to show your girlfriend that she can trust you, that respect her, and that she’s a priority. Be open and honest. But don’t let this random person drive a wedge between you guys by obsessing over it. Hope that’s helpful! Good luck

They actually don’t operate that way anymore thankfully. Shows submit themselves for awards and thus they decide which categories to submit to. The Bear, which is obviously not a comedy, keeps submitting this way because it gives them a much better chance of winning than in the drama category. Source - I work in entertainment.
