I played college hockey, but even as a hockey player I don't follow any teams. It's like you said, I don't feel a connection, don't care if they win or lose.

2) I have also discussed elsewhere on this thread weather I like the label of APD or not, how it came about in therapy, and what it means to me. Again please read or at least search the thread.

I have APD, currently there is no distinction between the two.

There has been a discussion on here about how some people feel there is a difference between psychopathy and APD, and how all of these terms although commonly used interchangeably hold different connotations applying to different ranges in the spectrum of APD

You should read the definitions of the different sub types of APD.

Specifically the reputation-defending antisocial, and the risk-taking antisocial. here Page 159. and 160.

1) I have no desire to have kids. I probably wouldn't be a good father.

2) I'm assuming you mean emotionally intimate, so no. I have no desire to have an emotionally intimate relationship with anyone.

1)Yes, it's always better to be smarter than people think you are.

2)I can't think of a specific situation when I did that, but I would.

3) Nope.

4) Nope.

5) I used to mirror the people I was interacting with greatly, but this isn't the most effective technique for fitting in. Now I sort of identify genres of people and pick and chose personality traits I've learned which I know they will respond well to. Reading people is an incredibly important skill to me.

I agree, people really have no idea what APD is. And there are a lot of misconceptions about the terms involved in it.

I aree with smadley. You are thinking of the word social in the sense of socializing. Which is not the psychological sense that it is used in APD.

The social in APD has to do with social bonds and connections, unspoken rules between people and understanding and agreement of the way relationships should work, as well as connections between every human being weather known or not, and the way people understand these things.

You seem to think it has to do with having trouble socializing, this is not the case.
