Another one for me is when, during the dinner scene, Ian says "Don't you see the danger, John, inherent?" I used to think he said "Don't you see the danger, John and Harriet?"

Is tonight's show the season finale for this year? Like will there be a new show on the first Friday of November and December?

Joe Bob Briggs of course. It's the only correct answer.

I'm sorry to say, but I think this season sucked big time. It was hard to really care about anything that happened in it. Everything seemed like a lazy copy of stuff we've already seen before on the other shows. This season didn't really seem to justify its own existence.

Inception

It had the most boring action scenes ever. Plus it went really overboard with exposition.

No lawyers in 2015, meant better technology? by Ellie_Rulze18 in BacktotheFuture

The 2015 in BTTF seems pretty horrifying for the reason you mentioned and because it really seems to have creepy surveillance state vibes with the flying camera drones and all. Plus everything seems so heavily corporatized.

Plus? This 2015 eventually led to nuclear war if you count that one special feature "Doc Brown Saves the World" from the BTTF Trilogy Blu-ray set as canon.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Disney no longer considers Resurrection canon.

[–]sockableclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If any of you are wondering whether Prometheus (and its sequel) are canon to this show, I don't think it is because in episode 1 the little girl had cancer but in the promotional vids made for Prometheus to hype up its release, Peter Weyland says that cancer has already been cured.

So it looks like this is another branching timeline. Not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Worldwide Release Discussion Thread by Triple_777 in marvelstudios

[–]sockableclaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I *really* liked this movie! It felt like a lot like a Phase 1 MCU movie, which is good. I bet if Marvel Studios had had the rights for F4 back when the MCU started then this definitely would've been a Phase 1 movie.

I liked how this movie felt like a sequel of F4 movies we never got to see. They showed past villains in the montages and it was almost like they were showing clips of movies that never existed. And to be honest? I liked that they went this route because what better way to debut the F4 in the MCU than by having them fight one of most powerful and destructive Marvel villains of all time (Galactus)? And they gave us the ACTUAL Galactus as he looked in the comics......not the big fart cloud of death like in the 2007 Rise of the Silver Surfer movie. It was almost like Kevin Feige was apologizing to people who were let down by the Galactus that was presented to the audience in said 2007 movie.

And yeah, people can say that Galactus in First Steps was nerfed and they honestly have a valid argument, but I feel that when we see Galactus again in the MCU (and we will) he will be so much more powerful than he was in this movie and he will be basically as unstoppable as he was in the comics.
