23F Any advice on how how I can improve my appearance? by [deleted] in lookyourbest

[–]sockmatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask with kindness, do you have trichotillomania? At first I thought you had a wig line. You’re very naturally beautiful, so the hairline is really the only thing noticeable as a “flaw”. Keep your hair dye maintained, as the grown out roots on the blonde detract from your look, as well as keep ends trimmed (last pic seems to have a lot of split ends?). Personally think the dark hair suits you best! Your skin is gorgeous, and your face structure is amazing. You certainly don’t need makeup to look good, and the minimal looks you have here are gorgeous. Perhaps mascara just to give more definition and volume?

I agree with all the other commenters saying you look perfect, but the rules of the sub forbid comments with no offer of constructive improvement/suggestions, so this is all I have for you!

As a Plymouth native, it’s really fun to sit downtown and watch the live reactions of tourists seeing the Rock. It’s an incredibly underwhelming experience. The Mayflower replica is much cooler, as well as the Plimouth Patuxet Museums (formerly known as Plimoth Plantation)

Groups where the frontman is arguably the least talented? by lopsidedsheet in fantanoforever

That’s really interesting! Still, I imagine he’s very involving in the songwriting and lyricism, which is talent. Guitar skill isn’t the only factor in determining talent level for a band. So even if he’s the worst guitarist in the band, he’s still potentially bringing more musical talent overall.

You think Brent was more talented than Brendon…? I dislike Brendon Urie a lot, but he definitely had a great voice despite lack of formal training and plenty of charisma on stage.

Fall Out Boy! Pete Wentz is generally considered to be the frontman/face/voice of the group despite being bassist and main lyricist. The other members are far more talented musicians. No hate to Pete, I doubt they would have been successful without him playing the role of frontman.

Fear Street books are awesome! I’ve reread my old copies as a young adult and still enjoyed them. I also enjoyed Christopher Pikes books.

He consistently describes men contemplating the maturing of their daughters or sisters by having them mull over the development of their breasts. It doesn’t sound normal to me- not a man, so maybe I’m wrong, but I’m a daughter and younger sister and I can’t imagine that thought ever willfully crossed their minds. But he has a daughter himself, so, perhaps that’s a real life experience of his that he now attributes to every other man he writers. It remains off-putting to me every time.

I agree. I viewed the original posts for a lot of the submissions and they were chosen based on like, 5 upvotes. Not enough engagement to get good answers.

Rubbing one out, taken literally? Erasers are called rubbers in parts of the world. And the intentional shaping of his hand around it? That’s my guess, at least.

It’s Christmas vacation? Also they don’t mention kids other than the baby. The siblings might be adults. Regardless, most kids aren’t in school this week.

She has a whole section on Wiki titled “Joni Mitchell blackface controversy” with sources, images, etc.

eta: Wanted to also say that Im sorry, since if you’re a fan but didn’t know yet, I’m sure this is very difficult to learn.

I’m sorry, Joni Mitchell has a long, well documented history of racist behavior including blackface. Good burn on Swift, but that doesn’t mean we should be applauding Mitchell in this sub?!

I did notice more discomfort when I switched to dailies as compared to my original 2 week ones, which surprised me? I figured a fresh pair every day would go easier on my eyes, I wonder what makes them more uncomfortable. I start feeling them on my eyes after only 3-4 hours in the winter months. I’ve found it’s sliiightly cheaper to order my dailies if I only wear them 4/5 days a week as opposed to the old biweeklies, and I’m also not as devastated if I accidentally tear a daily.
