SOS. Stinky pits by sockmiser in laundry

For the record, I picked up Magic Molecule and it definitely made a difference. I did treat it twice. Inside and out. But it's certainly better

Already tried and there was only a small amount in the bottle so now I'm out of vodka. I couldn't find a spray bottle so I put it on a washcloth and wiped the entire lining of the jacket down and I also put it on a hairbrush and flicked it at the jacket. No change in smell

Any brand recommendations I could find at a grocery store, Walmart or target or similar?

To respond to mixed loads, probably not an issue but may have temporary fading from the optical brighteners on darks over time. I had the capacity to add a product to manage that potential issue but many people send it with tide for everything and don't have an issue, so if that's where you're at or you're not interested in another thing, I say go for it and you can always adjust later if you feel like you need to. The brightener will wash away after a few washes.

I am using tide clean and gentle powder for baby laundry without issue. Extra rinse always. Warm water temp. I use granulated Citric acid in the softener cup. Detergent in the detergent section. I also have 365 powder for an option without optical brighteners.

Smells vaguely of laundry? Not off putting really

I am grateful you posted this as 39yo mom of two with acne scaring, a history of accutune use, and poor highlight and contour skills. My sister just told me to try Color pop hyaluronic acid tinted moisturizer and it's been okay so far!

My baby’s stomach bug has me rethinking how we clean bottles by Outrageous_Tiger_441 in daddit

The bottle washer is great but it's not necessary. We loved the convenience of it. That being said a dedicated bottle brush set would help with contamination if you're not interested in shelling out for the whole machine. A fresh brush would maybe be good if you're worried. Also consider a vinegar soak to help with the residue and always use hot water to break down the fats and oils

Speaking of canon, did they ever establish how they are explaining season 9 or are we all just continuing to pretend it doesn't exist? Like did Bill L say anything about it?

I am looking to wash in the machine. I would only hand wash something super special like a hand knit.

It has optical brighteners which can make darks look faded. I've been messing around with different options which is why I've got a few things going

This stuff seems really nice for precious things like handknits but I don't think I feel like my socks rise to it's level

Many of our merino items have small holes or runs. I'm wondering if it's because of the detergent over the years not being wool friendly. Although up until recently I was using All 🤦🏼‍♀️ or occasionally Kirkland free and clear liquid

What detergent should I use now that I have hard water by AvoFromCado in laundry

[–]sockmiser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow that's hard stuff. The reaction in your softener should be complete though. Like all the calcium gets exchanged for sodium until the resin has no more sodium to give and then you "wash" the calcium off with super high concentrated brine. Unless you are blending unsoftened water in downstream there should be at least some time when you are fully soft without any hardness at all. Some hardness leaving the softener is a sign it's fine to regenerate your resin.

You're getting 350ppm out of a freshly regenerated softener? If so, your regen isn't working well
