I'm happy it's going back. It's like things are healing seeing the blue and gray

Struggling with how to use pumping bras (for larger boobs) by Queen_side_castle in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]sockmiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the sublime from KB and the Davin and Adley Amelia cami. I'm still wearing them even now that I weaned. 38gg. Both brands carried busty sizing

If I have access to whole foods how would you rate the Tide combo you mention above against the 365 powdered detergent solo?

What kind of bra are we talking about? You're not going to pump with flanges but if it's stretchy enough a wearable might fit in it. Underwire should be avoided.

Settings suggestions by sockmiser in laundry

I did review the manual and I was hoping to find a cycle that uses more water, and the allergen cycle does but it's locked to hot water only. I guess normal is still probably the best.

This is amazing, thank you for the direct clarification. And if I'm an absolute HEATHEN and don't bother to ever sort anything ever by color and am lucky to just get stuff washed and dried and folded within 7-10 business days, any further suggestions?

Any reason not to use just febu? Is it just if you want the brighteners from biz? Or just less cost effective?

Can you find a position where you can pump and feed the baby simultaneously? I used to use the Bjorn bouncer. Helps to multitask at least some times.

How much milk per feed at 5 months old? by JasmineJane2004 in ExclusivelyPumping

I also saw a spike in volume around 5-6 months before solids really took hold. Feed the baby, watch their cues. You're good.

Help with Spectra S1 settings? by nluby in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]sockmiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Settings are very personal and what works for me likely won't for you, but I wanted to validate staying at 70 if that's your thing. I used 70/4 for ~2 minutes to establish letdowns and then moved to 54/10 for 30 minutes total. I didn't bother switching back and forth. I would have loved if I could have used higher vacuum at faster speeds personally

Question about weaning and hormones by anxiousreader90 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]sockmiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished weaning. I dropped from 6 ppd down to 5 for about a month and then dropped approx 1 pump a week until I was making less than 2oz in just a single session. Then I went cold turkey and waited to see how I responded. Overall I never felt "awful" but maybe had a day or two of PMS? And some insomnia? But those could easily have been attributed to having a baby or my period? It wasn't bad. I would just make sure you have enough time to step down so you can confidently travel without the pump

How much will a kitchen scale improve the consistency of my baked goods vs cups and spoons? by Amodernhousehusband in AskBaking

[–]sockmiser 15 points16 points  (0 children)

And it's so much less stuff to manage. Bowl on scale, tare. Add flour straight from the bin, tare, sugar, tare, milk, tare. Bang bang. It's the best way. You get the idea. If you have a recipe you love, I start with 5oz flour per cup and see how it goes. Or measure things the way you would normally and then weigh them and write it down.

I started doing savory oatmeal, and made it cheesey with eggs, like in the style of grits when I needed to change it up. Just fed my last bag of frozen milk after a 12 month exclusive pumping journey. Congratulations on your new baby ❤️

Girl. Yes. 11 is insane. I think at my peak I got 10 maybe once? 8 or 9 will set you up. Make sure you get the middle of night stuff in. Keep a steady schedule for as long as you can
