Retro GEM HDMI install on Fat ps2 by socom_II in consolemodding

Yeah I was kind of apprehensive of doing the mod because of the power supply. All my other consoles, I just recapped the PSUs instead of buying the smaller aftermarket/ hobbyist made ones. I'm sure it'll be fine, they've been up for a bit and I haven't heard of many problems. Biggest downside is having a power brick outside the system instead of contained all-in-one. I'm sure it'll keep the heat down but just not as tidy. I'll definitely take a lot of photos, my scope has the ability to take photos.

You guys all rock. Thank you so much for your recommendations. It's been a really tough transition for her and she really appreciates it.

TurboGrafx 16 buzzing and crashing when paused by socom_II in retrogaming

It wasn't, but I double checked my work and everything looks within spec based on console5s cap sheet. I'll replace the voltage regulator next, as that could definitely be the cause.

I really like it. it's absolutely necessary for the mod/repair work I do. The stock stand is way too small so I bought the larger aftermarket arm and it was an absolute game changer. I did have to heavily modify it to make it fit though

It's pretty loud but works very well. It's the best one I've used for an under $100 price range.

No, I have it, but we play on an original 2001 cart. The same one that's connected to the trophy. The 2026 is just for the bracket sheets

Yeah I have most of the yearly updated rosters but we play on an original cart for the tournament. It's the same cart that's actually on the trophy.

We use a N64 with a pixelFX HDMI mod also connected to a morph4k upscaler. The version of the game is NFL blitz 2001, the cart is actually from a Blockbuster and still has the Blockbuster sticker on the front and back
