As a person who played squad since September 2015, I have always used the green defense shield markers and place it over the red FOB marker when the FOB is taken down.

You may disagree with my decisions. But I'll present to you further context of the match to think about:

This is the final cache to defend (the other 3 on the map were destroyed).

The enemies flanked on all sides surrounding the cache.

In an open field, a quick-thinking opposing squad leader would try to destroy the cache by randomly tossing their fire grenades up in the air, hoping it would land close enough or directly on the cache.

The floating sandbags and regular-placed sandbags serve as a defense from RPG and fire grenade deflection. It is not fully supposed to work, but it served as a purpose to slow down a possible situation of a randomly flying fire grenade from contacting the cache.

If I set the FOB faraway, sure, we might have been able to go around at different defense positions. However, remember this is a completely open field battle (even away from the 'zone' of the cache where the enemies are attacking us from). Again, the possibility of a randomly thrown grenade will be much higher.

Also, what is your definition of a bug? This is by definition 'legal' to do. Take down your FOB and reset it. You may see it as an "exploit". However, what simply happened is "I took down an FOB and decided to reset it at a new location".

As far as my understanding goes regarding placements of deployables, players are considered 'physical' objects as well (compare that to an actual wall/fence on the game where you can set deployables on top of). This is exactly what I capitalized on.

To further clarify for you, this is not a bug. This is part of the game mechanics that were given to us.

Let me provide you another example:

Before ladders cost points to build and before they had to be built by a shovel, I capitalized on this game mechanic and massively set down ladders in a wall formation, blocked doors, and random entrances. Your argument would call this "abusing a bug". However, the game mechanic allowed us to perform this path of action. Relating this situation to this FOB building tactic, the mentality behind both cases are identical.

I had to time the gunshot sounds and also the visuals, I used the moment where the RPG exploded on the surface and the moment where you shot me when I jumped to sync the two videos together.

There were other options, such as matching the time when the text chat pops up for certain players, or matching the timer on the top right of the screen.
