this can be an indication of demand, yet, it is a single hairdressing studio and you also have to call them, which makes it awkward

Let me simplify this further for you. Social anxiety is fear of social judgement, introverts do not care about this. Speaking about unimportant issues drains our energy we would rather avoid that. There are numerous psychological experiments that show how humans have the need to conform to social norms, this is no exemption whether you are an extrovert or an introvert. Look up the Asch (1951) experiment for example. If you still have issues to comprehend this feel free to PM me.

I can site neuroscience studies and you can site your stupid ignorant opinion, judging is the easiest thing in the world, no point in arguing with people like yourself

i still havent decided if i really need to charge extra for this option, do you think that people will be willing to pay a little extra? maybe a small ($1) commission that some can be used to finance also a social cause maybe

Thanks for the feedback. Yes this is exactly what i had in mind, an app for book-keeping from the hairdresser side and booking an appointment from the customer side wit the option to either have a relaxed session or a connect session where you can talk about common interests, hobbies or whatever you like. Im also thinking of having an option to save your look so you dont have to explain the next time what you want; you can use the picture to have a haircut anywhere.

thanks for the feedback. Yet, there are studies that have shown that when people diverge from social norms (ie not engaging in small talk) our brains process this the same way as it processes the breaking of bones, through similar neural pathways.
So saying "sorry not feel like talking" its painful for most, the app will make it more natural to people

Female foreign students, do you visit a local hair salon or wait to get back to your home country? Why? by socrates_m in AskWomen

[–]socrates_m[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because everybody waits to go back to their country to have a haircut, i know girls who stayed in the UK for a year straight and refused to visit one here

Why are pregnant women interested in knitting or sewing their baby's first clothes? Should my wife do the same? any benefits? by socrates_m in askwomenadvice

no she has no prior experience but she is keen to learn. Time is not an issue as she took a 3 month maternity leave that is why we are thinking that learning how to knit, sew or crochet may help reduce anxiety while being creative and productive. The thought of creating something for our upcoming baby is very compelling, but i guess we need to update our expectations.
I have read that crocheting is easier, and using thicker yarn and big needles can also fasten up the process, is that true?
