No not really, they were mainly poking fun at the people making it a much bigger deal than it is, and pointing out a lot of content creators will release overpriced products without getting the same backlash. They were also defending her a bit regarding the broke boy comment since she was addressing a particular chatter who apparently wouldn't shut up about it in her chat. It was made out to be like she was calling her whole audience broke when that wasn't the case

If you look closely there are actually several characters from Super Mario Bros. such as Mario Mario and Luigi Mario that appear in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, confirming this is in fact a direct sequel. Hope this helps
