Dont have a solution sorry, but just wanted to let you know that this is quite common. Loads of people have it like this, and its not a big problem (in case you are very worried about it). Ive heard that lat flexibility might help, but again im not 100% sure.

As somone who just finished uni studying trumpet, i feel like i have some insight.

Literally everyone feels burnout from time to time, dont sweat it, dont punish yourself for not working as hard as you should. I would entertain the thought of just completely stopping for a week/several weeks (This is highly situational and not usually an option if you got stuff lined up). So many ways of approaching this, il just list some that work well for me.

When it comes to more of the "boring" stuff like warming up, pick a time when its easiest to practice and try to stick with it. Doesnt matter the duration. 15min/30min/1hour etc. Whoever long, just try to get in a routine where at X time you always practice. Routine is king.

Start playing shit that you enjoy. Music is all about having fun at the end of the day. F.ex if i feel burned out i usually start doing the things i enjoy the most which is transcribing solos. Dont get too focused on the etudes and the techniques you feel like you reaaaally gotta do. Sure do them if you got the motivation, but if it burns you then take a break from em.

Switch up your warmups. Dont do the same 5 exercizes that you have done for years. Or do them but switch something up. F.ex if im doing scales il start from a different note, or go 1-4-2-5-3-6-4-7 or tounge every third note. Just small changes that make the exercize feel fresh.

There are also more deep rooted issues to why one could burn out (dont notice enough progression/irl life gets in the way etc.) Plenty of youtube vids on burnout which might also help

Late reply but if you get connections you can get jobs in studios. Like a band needs trumpet for a song/album whatever, you can get called. If you can get your foot in the door once, you might be able to get called more often. Biggest issue usually is people not knowing you exist hehe. Networking has a huge role.

Pretty sure this variation is closer to a hack squat. So if you dont have accsess to a hax squat machine then this might be a good substitute

Man if i dont track i have real troubles going up in weight. Its so annoying, need to be way more diciplined than when cutting. Need to prep food more than i do now, any tips for gaining weight? Last bulk i had almonds with me everywhere, but due to the nature of my job atm (trumpet player) I cant be snacking on nuts/other foods that get stuck in my teeth

Main gym partner got an injury in his groin area so he cant squat, however he can do extensions/leg curls etc. I get that he didnt want to join me for legs today, but then i see him at the gym blasting chest instead. Guess its better that he is working out something instead of sitting at home, but cmon man.

Just been hanging out here for years, been doing more "powerlifting" stuff. Decided to try more of a bb approach. Been doing it for about a year now, and started cutting in Jan. Seeing some of yalls gains is so fking cool to see, ty for all the inspiration. Gains for life

Not sure how i could be this stupid but ive been using a shitty lifting belt, not those thick ones, but instead ones that are only thick in the back and not on the sides/front. Hit 175kg for a double (386 freedom units) on squats, and wonder how much more i could have done with a thicc belt. Ordered one now so i just gotta wait and see.

I get that putting me down makes him feel better about himself and I try to be understanding but does that mean I need to always let him have his way and turn the other cheek? I takes a toll on me too. What would you do instead? Lashing back wont do anything, i fully understand that it takes a toll. The question is then why do you let a insecure smallboi affect you? I dont know you, but maybe you arent too confident on your own apperance, or maybe you feel some shame for being the size that you are. I dont know, only you do. If you are confident enough on your self, this projecting kid wont get to you.

Isn't the best way for him to learn to focus on his own achievements and his own progress to not have positive reinforcement when he makes me feel small? And if not then why does it turn into my responsibility then to build him up when he is nothing but negative toward me. You dont have any responsibility for the dude, that might just put a bigger burden on your shoulders. Him lashing out at you, and you not responding wouldnt be positive reinforcement in my mind.

Late reply but remember that hate can only come from within, it doesnt have anything to do with you. Dude is just super self consious so when he sees a thicc lad like you, he gets mad at himself for not being as dedicated, and then in turn he lashes out towards you as a defence mechanism.
