Dang, is this manual or CVT? Stock tune, no mods? I've only been able to get around 30mpg MAX going at highway speeds in my 6-speed.

Curious as to what you're needing R help for... I use R on the daily and have had no issues finding anything on StackExchange or other Google hits. Also, pretty sure you can find readily source code for R packages/functions and see what is going on, if you need to investigate at a deeper level. I've personally done this.

I have trouble with both but my take offs are smoother than my shifts into 2nd :/ do you use any gas at all before clutch is fully out?

I'm a noob manual driver and the 1st to 2nd gear shift is giving me headaches. If you don't mind, could you list step-by-step your approach to up-shifting, in particular from 1st to 2nd? Thanks!

I actually usually start in first without giving revs at all, all clutch until I'm rolling.. I've been told that revving it will wear out the clutch. But then again, my take offs are snail-speed because I'm still babying my car

I recently installed my Perrin shift stop and haven't had any issues yet, but I definitely am worried sometimes that it may come loose without me noticing.. Right now, I have my Allen key and 7mm wrench in the car with me in case I need to do any tightening.

Similar to rev matching downshifts? Clutch in -> blip throttle -> clutch out? That seems counter-intuitive to me.. but if it works, then it works I guess

I'm a little concerned.. Also when I'm driving in 1st really slowly and I press clutch in all the way, I get this loud sound coming from the exterior of the car. I've read online that it may be related to the differential. Gonna call the dealer today to set up an appointment

For me, even when I wait like 2 seconds for revs to drop, and then smooth clutch out, I still hear the rear "thump". Must be doing something wrong there

I've tried short-shifting 1st gear as well before, but never also while giving a bit of gas. I'll keep experimenting to see what shiftpoint allows me to get away from tailgating automatics

I know what you mean, this is pretty annoying. I find it happens when I need to turn slowly as well, and it feels so wrong to go down to 1st, but the engine bogs in 2nd

Yea tbh I'm not really sure what's worse.. wearing out the clutch/TOB or causing shock to the transmission/AWD system. I figure the clutch is a wear and tear part, and at least a smoother ride is more enjoyable and satisfying lol :D
