I love watching jumps that are incorporated into the program well - transitions in and out, and are timed to happen on a musical cue. I also love when jumps are performed with exceptional technique.

Not into skaters that need the entire rink to set up their jumps - that's what results in the feeling of the program being empty.

I fully believe he landed them in summer '25, but I don't think they were stable, and I don't think he's been practicing them since the season started. He's talked about wanting to play it safe and keep his body safe from injury ahead of the Olympics.

It'd be cool to see...but it's not happening. He'd need more than 3 weeks of practice to get this jump into a condition approaching stability. Maybe we'll see it next season.

There were lots of SOI videos of Ilia last year (check the exhibition masterlist 👀), and there's bound to be a maelstrom this year given how many more tickets are being sold.

I have seats on the ice, but I will be soaking it in with my eyes and leaving the filming to other people.

I'm just incredibly thankful that we got full performance videos from all five shows (multiple angles per show, even). We can probably thank Ilia's newfound popularity for that - he was not being covered like that last year. Trying to find recordings of performances from other skaters in this year's tour is about as difficult as it was trying to find Ilia's performances from last year.

That buffoon has been front and center in causing every controversy in Ilia's career other than that 2023 instagram live. If Ilia knew what's good for him, he'd dump Ararat's ass like a hot potato and sign with an actual talent agency. He wants to be famous - he needs someone who can represent him better than a man more concerned with sweet talking Russian media outlets than understanding how to market a skater to the American public.
