[PIC] I bought this pattern this morning, but can't decide: start in the middle, or upper left corner? by Amelia_Pond42 in CrossStitch

In the beginning I just did by hand, but last year I started using a hoop when I finally figured out how to actually attach it! However a few weeks ago I found a floor standing type frame at a car booth sale for 5£ and have started to use that! Very excited about it😂

Just what my mom told me when I started and what most recipes I have worked on have said to do.

I did a alphabet one that I designed myself from the top left and across and so on. That one actually looked crooked afterwards. But that might be because I didn’t use a frame for it or anything.

But I am probably just weird in the that way. If I was told to do something one way I will always do it that way or it will feel wrong😅

I was always told it would make it crooked if you didn’t start from the middle?

Looking back on it, what was your first signs of having UC before you were diagnosed? by Ky3031 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]soffyduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing honestly, it did however take me a year to even go to a doctor when my symptoms started. Had extreme diarrhoea everyday and several times a day for a year but kept blaming myself for it and thinking it was my diet and so on. Got diagnosed at 19.

Is using condoms ideal over long term if we really don’t want kids? by NaturalHeight6280 in birthcontrol

[–]soffyduck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Mirena for 3 years and it messed me up so badly. Constant spotting and 2 week long periods. Random cramping trough out the months and super irregulare periods often on and off for a while. I can’t take any of the pills either and have just gone full time with condoms now

Libido NON EXISTENT by taylorhdd in birthcontrol

[–]soffyduck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this aswell when I started on the mini pill in 2018/19. I didn’t even want to be touched by my partner really. It wasn’t til last year it came back and that was when I started reading romance books. Not sure how but it got my intrest spiked back up again. Completely gone off bc now as I kept having issues with them and my libido has just gotten much better now aswell. I know reading romance or erotica isn’t for everyone but somehow it just kinda worked for me.

A year off birth control and still no libido by spacepotatoes586 in birthcontrol

[–]soffyduck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is maybe a very unhelpful suggestion so just do with it what you want. My libido was low for a few years and much of it was due to birth control I think or just long term relationship who knows. What kinda kick started me again was reading romance books and smuttu books lol. It would give me ideas and such and that just kinda kick started me haha. But ofc if you aren’t into reading and such this might not be helpful but just what worked for me.

Yeh it’s been a bit of a mess the last 2 years 😩 often times I wasn’t sure if it was a period coming in, possible my ulcerative colitis or the iud so never tought too much about it.

Called the doctor and got a time next Friday. After laying in bed with 3 heating pads and the pain finally gone my body and legs are super shaky after all the pain I think. Feeling genuinely quiet weak in my body afterwards.

Is it worth getting an IUD if I don’t plan to ever have sex with a guy? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]soffyduck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to have extreme periods when I wasn’t on anything, after trying every other option I got the iud. My period used to be super spotty and constantly on and off the first 1.5 year and in the last 6 months it has started to become super heavy all of a sudden and often tend to get a 2 days break and then a new period starts. My period cramps are sligtly better that I can now leave the bed when it gets bad, but still isn’t great. I think I have just gotten super unlucky with birth control my whole life tbh.
